Abstract
Penelitian ini mencari jawaban sejauh mana pengaruh tingkat disiplin belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran penjas dan tingkat kognitif siswa tentang kebugaran jasmani terhadap penerapan gaya hidup aktif dalam kehidupan kesehariannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode ex-postfacto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 10.592 siswa dari 27 sekolah. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster sampling dengan dua tahap, pertama membagi wilayah populasi menjadi lima bagian, tiap bagian terdapat Empat sampai Enam sekolah, kedua mengambil secara acak dari tiap bagian wilayah sebanyak Satu atau Dua sekolah sehingga terambil Delapan sekolah sebagai sampel. Populasi sebesar 10.592 pada taraf kesalahan 5 % ialah sebanyak 340 siswa. Dari Delapan sekolah terdapat 3.164 siswa kelas XII. Untuk mendapatkan sampel 340 siswa menggunakan proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket pengembangan beberapa teori, untuk mengukur tingkat disiplin belajar (X1) menggunakan teori Gunarsa (2004, hlm. 11) dari dalam negeri. Untuk mengukur tingkat kognitif tentang kebugaran jasmani (X2) menggunakan teori Rattlife (1994, hlm. 10) dari luar negeri. Untuk mengukur gaya hidup aktif siswa (Y) mengadopsi penelitian Leen Haerens (2010, hlm. 3) dari jurnal internasional. Angket diujicobakan terhadap siswa kelas XII. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai koefisien korelasi antara X1 dengan Y sebesar 0,406 dan antara X2 dengan Y sebesar 0,444. Ini berarti terdapat hubungan kuat dan positif antara X1 maupun X2 terhadap Y. Selanjutnya untuk mengetahui signifikansi antara X1 terhadap Y, signifikansi X2 terhadap Y menggunakan uji t. Diperoleh thitung lebih besar dari ttabel artinya pengaruh X1, X2 terhadap Y adalah signifikan. Sementara untuk mengetahui signifikansi X1 dan X2 secara bersamaan terhadap Y menggunakan uji F. Diperoleh Fhitung lebih besar dari Ftabel artinya pengaruh X1 dan X2 secara bersamaan signifikan. Kontribusi langsung dan tidak langsung X1 terhadap Y = 11,35%. Kontribusi langsung dan tidak langsung X2 terhadap Y = 15,11 % sehingga total X1 dan X2 terhadap Y = 26,46%. Semua ini menunjukan besar kontribusi lain (epsilon) diluar kontribusi X1 dan X2 terhadap Y adalah sebesar = 73,54%. Hal ini berarti bahwa 73,54% gaya hidup aktif siswa SMU di Kota Bandung dikontribusi oleh faktor lain yang tidak diteliti. The research seek to find to what extent students’ learning discipline level in physical education and their cognitive level of physical fitness influence their daily active lifestyle. It adopted quantitative approach with ex-post facto method. The population of this research consisted of a total of 10.592 students from 27 schools. Sampel was taken with cluster sampling technique in two stages: First, diving the population areas into five, where each part comprised four to six schools; and secondly, randomly taking one or two schools from each area in such a way that eight schools were taken as sample. The calculation of margin of error for the 10.592 students as the population resulted in 340 students. There were 3.164 twelfth graders in the eight schools. To obtain a sample of 340 students, a proportionate stratified random smpling was undertaken. The research instrument was in discipline (X1), the theory of a national scholar, Gunarsa, (2004, p. 11) was used. To measure cognitive level of physical fitness (X2), the theory of Rattlife, an international scholar (1994, p. 10) was employed. Finally, to measure students’ active lifestyle (Y), Leen Haerens’ theory (2010, p. 3) taken from an international journal was adopted. The questionnaire was distributed to the twelfth grade students. The findings show that the coefficient correlation value between X1 and Y was 0.406 and between X2 and Y 0.444. These values mean that there was a strong and positive correlation both between X1 and X2 and Y. Subsequently, in order to find the significance of X1 for Y, and X2 for Y, t-test was carried out. It was found that the value of t was greater than tcritical, which means that X1 and X2 had significant influences on Y. Meanwhile, to find the simultaneous significance of X1 and X2 for Y, F-test was undertaken. It was found that F was greater than Fcritical, which translates as X1 and X2 simultaneously had significant influences. The direct and indirect contributions of X1 to Y and X2 to Y were 11.35% and 15.11%, respectively, with a total of contribution of both X1 and X2 to Y = 26.46%. These findings show the epsilon or contributions of other variables than X1 and X2 to Y equal to 73.54%, meaning that 73.54% of the active lifestyle of senior high school students in Bandung City was contributed by other factors unexamined in this research.
