Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi musik komputer untuk pendidikan semakin berkembang. Lembaga pendidikan formal khususnya perguruan tinggi bidang seni musik di Indonesia seharusnya sudah memiliki materi pembelajaran teknologi komputer untuk mendukung aktivitas kreatif. Proses pembelajaran musik komputer khususnya terkait aplikasi rekaman di Sekolah Tinggi Musik Bandung (STiMB) belum optimal, dikarenakan tidak adanya silabus dan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dalam pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran. Pendidik merupakan praktisi yang tidak mempunyai latar belakang ilmu kependidikan, sehingga dalam proses perkuliahan, pendidik tidak membuat perencanaan pembelajaran dan pengajaran dilakukan berdasarkan pengalaman. Berdasarkan penjelasan tersebut tujuan yang dihasilkan dalam mata kuliah aplikasi rekaman belum terfokus, tidak terarah dan tidak sistematis. Akibatnya output yang dihasilkan tidak mempunyai indikator yang jelas dan kompetensi yang diharapkan belum tercapai secara maksimal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah action reseacrh dengan mengkombinasikan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perbaikan pada proses pembelajaran mata kuliah aplikasi rekaman di STiMB semester genap 2014/2015 dengan menggunakan model Project Based Learning (PjBL). Hasil penelitian pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang telah disusun untuk meningkatkan kompetensi peserta didik dalam memproduksi musik jingle secara berkelompok dengan menggunakan software Cubase 5, terutama difokuskan pada kompetensi individu dalam mengoperasikan software recording (DAW) Cubase 5. ---------- The use of computer music technologi for education is rapidly developing. Formal education institution especially art music colleges in Indonesia should have had learning materials on computer technologies to support creative activity. Learning process of computer music especially related to recording application at Sekolah Tinggi Musik Bandung (STiMB) is not yet optimal, due to the absence of syllabus and Lesson Plan in executing the learning process. Teachers are practitioner who do not have education science background, therefore in the process of lecturing, teachers do not create learning and teaching planning done based on experience. Based on that explanation the objective produced in the subject of recording application is not yet focused, directed and systematic. Consequently, output produced does not have clear indicator and the expected competence has not yet achieved maximally. Research method used in this research is action research by combining qualitative and quantitative method. This research aims to produce improvement on the learning process of recording application subject at STiMB even semester 2014/2015 by using the model of Project Based Learning (PjBL). The research result of project based learning to improve of the learners produce pre-arranged jingle music competence in software Cubase 5, especially it is focused on the personal competence in operating recording software (DAW) Cubase 5.
