Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh perkembangan jumlah mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi paling rendah dibandingkan dengan prodi lain di FPEB UPI. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran minat siswa dalam memilih Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi FPEB UPI dilihat dari aspek persepsi, motivasi dan lingkungan sosial. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu survei dengan menggunakan angket sebagai alat pengumpul data. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XII IIS yang berjumlah 100 siswa. Hasil Penelitian ini menyatakan rata-rata skor minat responden sebesar 13 yang termasuk dalam kategori minat rendah. Hasil crosstab antara minat dengan aspek persepsi, motivasi dan lingkungan sosial juga menyatakan minat siswa yang rendah dalam memilih Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi FPEB UPI dengan rata-rata skor sebesar 0. Untuk itu, hendaknya baik prodi, fakultas, maupun universitas melakukan usaha-usaha yang lebih aktif dan intensif lagi untuk mempromosikan Prodi Pendidikan Ekonomi FPEB UPI kepada calon mahasiswa. Kata Kunci : Minat Siswa, Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi FPEB UPI, Deskriptif The issue that raised in this research is the development of the number of students of economics education is the lowest compared with other study programs within one faculty. Therefore this research was conducted to describe the student's interest in choosing a Study Program of Economic Education FPEB UPI seen from the aspect of perception, motivation and social environment. Type of this research is an descriptive. The method used in this research is an survey method with a questionnaire as a data collection tool. This research has the sample as much 100 students. The results of this research showed an mean score of students interest by 13, which is included in the category of low interest. Crosstab results between interest with aspects of perception, motivation and social environment also showed a low student interest in choosing a Study Program of Economic Education FPEB UPI , with an mean score of 0. Therefore, study program, faculty , and university should make efforts more active and more intensively to promote Study Program of Economic Education FPEB UPI to prospective students.
