Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan aturan alih bicara pada talk show “Ini Talk Show”. Pendekatan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis percapakan yang diajukan oleh Sacks, Schegloff, dan Jefferson (1974). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah descriptif kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis salah satu episode dari talk show “Ini Talk Show” yang berjudul “96.7 Hits FM”. Penelitian ini berfokus terhadap percakapan yang terjadi pada tujuh pembicara, mereka adalah dua orang host dan lima orang bintang tamu, pada talk show tersebut. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menemukan aturan alih bicara yang digunakan pada percakapan dan untuk melihat faktor yang memengaruhi penggunaannya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aturan yang paling sering digunakan pada percakapan adalah aturan Current Speaker Selects the Next Speaker (CS2TNS), dan hubungan kekuasaan menjadi faktor yang memengaruhi penggunaan aturan tersebut pada percakapan yang terjadi di talk show “Ini Talk Show”. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa seseorang yang mengontrol sebuah percakapan adalah orang yang mempunyai kekuasaan lebih daripada yang lain.

This research investigates the use of turn-taking rules in the talk show Ini Talk Show. The approach employed in this research is Conversation Analysis (CA) proposed by Sacks, Schegloff, and Jefferson (1974). By adapting a descriptive qualitative method, this study examines one of the episodes in the talk show Ini Talk Show entitled “96.7 Hits FM”. The focus of this study is the conversations among seven speakers, including two hosts and five guests, of the talk show. It is to determine the use of turn-taking rules in the conversations and to discover the factors that influence the use of the rules. The results show that the rule which is mostly used in the conversation is Current Speaker Selects the Next Speaker (CS2TNS) rule, and power relation factor influences the use of turn-taking rules in the conversation of the talk show. Thus, it can be said that the one who takes control in the conversation is the one who has more power than others.
