Abstract

Fotografi adalah salah satu media untuk representasi sebuah penyampaian informasi atau pesan secara visual. Semua orang dapat merasakan dan melihat suatu peristiwa hanya dengan melihat sebuah foto. Salah satunya adalah foto pemandangan alam, Indonesia memiliki kekayaan alam yang melimpah terutama pada pegunungannya, diantara beberapa gunung yang spesifik, menarik dan indah yang berada di Jawa Barat, adalah Gunung Burangrang. Agar dapat menyampaikan informasi secara utuh tentang pesona alam Gunung Burangrang penulis membuat media foto ke dalam bentuk sebuah buku fotografi esai. Eksistensi sebuah buku akan berbeda dibandingkan hanya memajang sebuah karya foto saja. Terdapat rumusan masalah yaitu (1) Bagaimana visualisasi karya fotografi pesona alam Gunung Burangrang (2) Bagaimana desain buku foto esai pesona alam Gunung Burangrang. Proses penciptaan buku fotografi esai ini memiliki tahapan proses penciptaan yaitu, proses pengambilan gambar, proses seleksi foto, proses editing foto, proses pengolahan layout (tata letak) hingga proses pencetakan. Maka tujuan penciptaan ini adalah untuk memvisualisasi karya fotografi pesona alam Gunung Burangrang dan mendeskripsikan analisis desain buku foto esai pesona alam Gunung Burangrang. Penulis bermaksud membuat sebuah karya fotografi esai yang menggambarkan bagaimana pesona keindahan alam dari Gunung Burangrang. Hal ini dilakukan agar masyarakat memiliki kesadaran untuk meningkatkan apresiasi sekaligus sikap positif dalam meresponi alam di Indonesia. Hasil dari skripsi penciptaan ini secara umum visualisasi karya fotografi dan desain buku foto esai yang dihasilkan penulis memiliki foto dengan nuansa alam yang masih asri dan desain buku yang simple tetapi elegan, juga dapat menggambarkan serta menjelaskan pesona alam yang terdapat di kawasan Gunung Burangrang. ---------- Photography is one of the media for information or submission of a representation of the message visually. Everyone can feel and see an event just by looking at a photograph. One is the photo scenery, Indonesia has abundant natural wealth especially on the mountainous landscape, among the few mountains that are specific, compelling and beautifully located in West Java, is Mount Burangrang. In order to pass on the information as a whole about the natural charm of Mount Burangrang authors create media images to a photography book of essays. The existence of a book will be different than just posting a photo only. There is a formulation of the problem i.e. (1) How visualization works photography nature charm mount Burangrang (2) how to design a photo book of essays the natural charm of Mount Burangrang. The process of the creation of this essay has a photography book the stages of creation process i.e., the process of filming, process selection photos, photo editing process, processing layout (layout) to the printing process. Then the purpose of the creation is to the natural charm of the photographic work visualization mount Burangrang and describe the design analysis of natural charm photo essay book mount Burangrang. The author intends to make a photographic work an essay describing how the charm of the natural beauty of Mount Burangrang. This is done so that communities have the awareness to increase appreciation of the positive attitudes at once to respond to nature in Indonesia. The result of the creation of this thesis in General visualization photographic work and the design of the resulting photo essay book writer has photos with natural shades of green and the book design simple but elegant, it can also describe and explain the natural charm located in the area of Mount Burangrang.
