Abstract
Semester padat merupakan program akademik tambahan yang disediakan oleh Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia khususnya Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan dan wajib mengikuti implementasi yang telah ditetapkan, agar tercapai efektivitas dari implementasi tersebut. Kenyataannya di lapangan, yang seharusnya lulus tepat waktu, banyak mahasiswa angkatan lama (09, 08, 07) yang masih mengontrak SP 2013/2014, dan masih ada nilai mata kuliah yang kurang baik setelah mengikuti semester pendek. Hal tersebut sangat jauh dari implementasi semester padat yang sudah ditetapkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tentang efektivitas implementasi semester padat di Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan, dilihat dari aspek : tujuan, pelaksanaan dan hasil. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dan dianalisis sesuai dengan metode statistik. Instrumen pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan angket. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 75 mahasiswa dari jumlah populasi 110 mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan. Dan hanya 55 sampel yang dianalisis, setelah 20 dari sampel digunakan untuk uji coba angket. Dari hasil analisis data diperoleh gambaran umum dari persepsi mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan tentang efektivitas implementasi semester padat adalah bahwa mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan memiliki persepsi yang sebagian besar positif tentang efektivitas implementasi semester padat, namun belum secara menyeluruh, berdasarkan tiga aspek yaitu aspek tujuan, aspek pelaksanaan, dan hasil. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan belum sepenuhnya memiliki persepsi positif akan efektivitas implementasi semester padat di Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan ---------- Semester padat is an additional academic program provided by Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia in particular Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan and obliged to follow the implementation of predefined, in order to achieve the effectiveness of the implementation. The fact in the field, which is supposed to graduate on time, many old generation students (09,08,07) which is still contracted SP 2013/2014, and the value of the course still less well after following Semester Padat. It is so far from the implementation predefined of semester padat. This research aims to determine students perceptions about the effectiveness of implementation of semester padat in Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan, views from aspects: objectives, implementation and results. This research is a descriptive study using quantitative research methods and analyzed in accordance with statistical methods. Data collection instruments collected using a questionnaire. The sample in this research were 75 students from total population 110 of students Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan. And only 55 samples which is analyzed, after 20 of the sample used for test the questionnaire. From result of analysis the data, obtained a general overview from students perceptions about the effectiveness of implementation of semester padat in Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan was the students Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan have a largely positive perception of the effectiveness of implementation semester padat, but not thoroughly, based on three aspects: the purpose, aspects of the implementation and results. Can be concluded that students Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan haven’t yet fully have a positive perception of the effectiveness of implementation semester padat in Prodi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan.
