Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara sensation seeking dan motivasi remaja untuk menjadi anggota geng motor. Sampel dari populasi penelitian ini adalah 83 orang remaja anggota geng motor. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen Sensation Seeking Scale V (SSS-V) yang dikembangkan oleh Zuckerman dan diadaptasi oleh Muldiyana (2010), serta skala motivasi yang disusun oleh peneliti. Hasil analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik statistik korelasi Spearman menunjukkan nilai korelasi sebesar 0,463 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000. Hasil ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sensation seeking dan motivasi remaja untuk menjadi anggota geng motor.----------This research aimed to discover the relationship between sensation seeking and motivation adolescence to become members of the motorcycle gang. Sample of population in this research were 83 adolescence members of motorcycle gang. The instrument of collecting data were Sensation Seeking Scale V (SSS-V) developed by Zuckerman and adapted by Muldiyana (2010), whereas the motivation scale developed by the researchers. Data were analyzed by the Spearman correlation. The result showed that sensation seeking and motivation adolescence to become a member of a motorcycle gang has a correlation value of 0.463 and level of significance 0.000. This result indicated a significant relationship between sensation seeking and motivation of adolescence to become members of the motorcycle gang.
