Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi atas keingintahuan peneliti terhadap keefektifan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dalam meningkatkan kerja sama kelompok. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam kerja sama kelompok, yang meliputi rasa tanggung jawab antar individu maupun kelomponya, dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah di dalam pembelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang diawali dengan penyusunan rencana tindakan kerja sama kelompok dan melaksanakan tindakan siklus I, siklus II dan siklus III. Sumber yang diambil berdasarkan observasi, catatan lapangan, catatan observasi guru, dan rubik penilaian kerja sama kelompok. Populasi dalam penelitian ini dilakukan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 49 Bandung, sedangkan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII-7 sebagai kelas yang dijadikan PTK. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan adanya peningkatan secara bertahap dalam meningkatkan kerja sama kelompok, pada kerja sama kelompok siklus satu mencapai kategori cukup, pada siklus kedua masih dalam kategori cukup, dan kerja sama kelompok pada siklus tiga mencapi kategori yang baik dengan sedikit perbaikan dari siklus dua. Penilaian ini berdasarkan kriteria baik, cukup, dan kurang. Hal tersebut menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kerja sama kelompok dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dalam pembelajaran IPS dari setiap siklus I, siklus II dan siklus III. Dapat disimpulkan model kooperatif tipe TGT dapat meningkatkan kerja sama kelompok dalam pembelajaran IPS. ---------- This research was motivated on the curiosity of researcher on the effectiveness of cooperative learning model TGT in improving teamwork. The purpose of this research is implementation of cooperative learning model TGT to improve students skills in teamwork, which includes a sense of responsibility between the individual and the group, and problem solving skills in social studies learning. Through this study students are expected to have a sense of responsibility among individuals and groups, and can solve the problems that occur in the group using the game media in teaching social science. The method used in this research is the method of classroom action research (PTK) which begins with the preparation of the action plan of cooperation group and implement actions first cycle, second cycle and third cycle. Source taken by observation, field notes, teacher observation notes, and Rubik teamwork assessment. The population in this study conducted in class VIII SMP Negeri 49 Bandung, while the samples used in this study were students of class VIII-7 as a class which is used as PTK. Based on the results, the existence of a gradual increase in enhancing teamwork, the teamwork cycle reaches of the enough category, in the second cycle reached still in enough categories, and teamwork on three cycles up good category. This assessment is based on criteria of good, pretty, and less. This shows there is a significant increase in improving teamwork using TGT type of cooperative learning model in teaching social studies from each of the first cycle, second cycle and third cycle. It can be concluded TGT cooperative models can improve teamwork in learning IPS.
