Abstract
Penelitian yang berjudul “Penerapan Metode Pembelajaran Timbal-Balik Berbasis Media Tayangan Video dalam Pembelajaran Membaca Pemahaman Teks Eksplanasi (Penelitian Eksperimen Kuasi terhadap Siswa Kelas VII Semester II di SMP Negeri 1 Lembang)” dilatarbelakangi oleh kesulitan siswa dalam membaca pemahaman yang berkaitan dengan lemahnya metode pembelajaran. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini, yaitu menguji keefektifan metode pembelajaran timbal-balik berbasis media tayangan video dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini masing-masing berjumlah 40 siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini terdiri atas tiga perlakuan pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi menggunakan metode pembelajaran timbal-balik berbasis media tayangan video yang dilakukan di kelas eksperimen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode pembelajaran timbal-balik berbasis media tayangan video efektif dalam pembelajaran membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi dan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman teks eksplanasi siswa kelas eksperimen dengan metode pembelajaran timbal-balik berbasis media tayangan video dan kelas kontrol dengan metode konvensional. ---------- The research, entitled “Application of Reciprocal Teaching Method Based Video as Media in Learning Reading Comprehension of Explanatory Text (Quasi Experiment research to Students at 7th Grade 2nd Semester in SMP Negeri 1 Lembang)” is motivated by the difficulty of students in reading comprehension related to the weakness of learning methods. The purpose of this research was to test the effectiveness of reciprocal method based video as media in learning reading comprehension of explanatory text. The sample in this research each of 40 students in experiment class and control class is taken by purposive sampling. The method that used in this research is a quasi experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. This research consisted of three treatments in learning reading comprehension of explanatory text by using reciprocal method based video as media in experiment class. The results showed that the method of reciprocal based video as media was effective in teaching reading comprehension of explanatory text and there are significant differences between reading comprehension of explanatory text in experimental class with method of reciprocal based video as media and control class with conventional methods
