Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi keingintahuan peneliti terhadap strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil pembelajaran menulis di SMP Laboratorium percontohan UPI; mendeskripsikan aktivitas peserta didik dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi menggunakan strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita; mendeskripsikan proses pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi menggunakan strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita; membuktikan keefektifan strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita dalam pembelajaran teks eksplanasi; dan mengetahui respons peserta didik sebelum dan sesudah diterapkannya strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita dalam pembelajaran teks eksplanasi. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Berdasarkan penghitungan uji hipotesis, diperoleh hasil to= 8,24 > t0,05 (56) = 2,0063. Dengan kata lain, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis teks eksplanasi di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol setelah kelas eksperimen mendapat perlakuan strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Artinya, strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis teks eksplanasi. Kata kunci: strategi inkuiri yurisprudensial dengan media tayangan berita, teks eksplanasi This research is encouraged by the curiosity of researcher on the effectiveness of the jurisprudential inquiry strategy with media news program in learning to write explanatory text. This research aimed to describe the teaching of writing’s profile in SMP Laboratorium Percontohan UPI ; describes the activity of learners in learning to write explanatory text using jurisprudential inquiry strategy with media news program ; describe the process of learning to write explanatory text using jurisprudential inquiry strategy with media news program ;to prove the effectiveness jurisprudential inquiry strategy with the media news program in learning explanatory text ; and determine the response of students before and after the implementation the jurisprudential inquiry strategy with media news program in learning explanatory text .The method which is used in this research is quasi experiment method with nonequivalent control group design as a research design. According on the calculation hypothesis test with retrieved results to= 8,24 > t0,05 (56) = 2,0063. In other words, there is a significant difference between the writting ability of explanatory text in the experimental class and control class after class experiment treated with a jurisprudential inquiry strategy with media news program in learning to write explanatory text.Based on this, it can be concluded that Ha accepted and Ho rejected. This means, the jurisprudential inquiry strategy with media news programs is effective to learn explanatory text.
