Abstract

Efektivitas Strategi Self-management untuk mengembangkan Kemandirian Belajar Siswa (Penelitian Kuasi Eksperimen pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Ciparay Kabupaten Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015). Pembimbing Dr. Anne Hafina, M. Pd. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemandirian belajar siswa melalui strategi self-management menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket kemandirian belajar. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Ciparay Kabupaten Bandung Tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang memiliki kemandirian belajar sedang dan tinggi dengan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis data menggunakantwo independent sampling, diolah dengan teknik Mann Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa MTs Negeri Ciparay Kabupaten Bandung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 menunjukkan bahwa ketiga aspek kemandirian belajar tidak meningkat. Yaitu kemandirian emosional, kemandirian perilaku dan kemandirian nilai. Hanya meningkat pada kemandirian emosional pada indikator memiliki keyakinan terhadap motivasi diri sebagai idealisme. Artinya strategi self-management hanya efektif pada indikator memiliki keyakinan terhadap motivasi diri sebagai idealisme dan tidak efektif pada aspek dan indikator lain. Kemungkinan tidak efektif ada variabel lain sebagai kontrol luar yang berpengaruh tetapi tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini. The Effectiveness of Self-Management Strategies in Developing Students’ Learning Autonomy (Quasi-Experimental Research to the Eighth Grade Students of MTs Negeri Ciparay, Bandung Regency, Academic Year 2014/2015). Supervisor: Dr. Anne Hafina, M.Pd. The research aims to develop students’ learning autonomy through self-management strategies employing quantitative approach. It adopted quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Data were collected using learning autonomy questionnaire. The sample, taken with purposive sampling, consisted of the eighth grade students of MTs Negeri Ciparay, Bandung Regency, academic year 2014/2015, representing moderate and high learning autonomy. Data were analyzed with two independent samples test and processed with Mann Whitney technique. The results show that the level of learning autonomy of the students of MTs Negeri Ciparay, Bandung Regency, academic year 2014/2015, did not increase for the three aspects of learning autonomy, namely emotional autonomy, behavioral autonomy, and value autonomy. An increase was only found in the emotional autonomy for the indicator of belief in self-motivation as idealism. This finding means that self-management strategies are only effective for the indicator of believing in self-motivation as idealism, and they are not effective for other aspects and indicators. There is a possibility that the ineffectiveness is caused by other influencing variables unexamined in this research. Keywords: Self-Management Strategies, Learning Autonomy
