Abstract
Pembelajaran di SMKN 2 Indramayu kurang menekankan pada upaya pengembangan keterampilan siswa, melainkan cenderung mengkondisikan siswa pada belajar hapalan. Kegiatan praktikum dilakukan untuk mengecek atau mencocokkan kebenaran teori yang telah diajarkan di kelas, sehingga tidak memberikan pengalaman nyata dan kurang mengembangkan keterampilan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan metode praktikum berbasis guided inquiry dan mengetahui pencapaian keterampilan siswa pada pembelajaran dasar pengawetan menggunakan metode praktikum berbasis guided inquiry. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah one group pre-test and post-test design. Sampel penelitian yaitu siswa kelas X TPHP 1. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan lembar observasi keterampilan, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, angket respon siswa, dan tes kognitif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran praktikum berbasis guided inquiry berlangsung dengan baik dan membuat siswa menjadi lebih aktif, serta dapat mencapai keterampilan siswa pada kemampuan mengamati, merencanakan percobaan, melakukan percobaan, menafsirkan data, dan berkomunikasi. Kata kunci : Keterampilan Siswa, Praktikum, Guided Inquiry The current learning in SMKN 2 Indramayu less of science process skill, whereas aspect of the basic student skill, but rather student have to know the theory. This research aims to get the information about the quality of students science process skill and the skill of dominant process appears on learning activities and guided inquiry lab using. This research is done by one group pre-test and post-test design methods. Sample of this research is X TPHP 1 class. to measure the students science process skill used instrument in the form of the test, the observation sheet, and questionnaire sheet. Based on result of research, show the overall aspect of skill students include in proper category and can make student more active and can increased student skill at observe ability, experiment planned, doing experiment, communicating, and interprete data.
