Abstract

Melalui penelitian ini, penulis bermaksud mengetahui efektivitas teknik penerjemahan simbol ke dalam ornamen teatrikal dalam perlatihan membaca puisi. Penelitian ini berpijak dari permasalahan yaitu; (1) kurangnya minat dan lemahnya kemampuan apresiator dalam memahami dan berapresiasi sastra (puisi); (2) tenaga pengajar yang kurang berkompeten di bidang sastra dan pengalokasian materi sastra yang minoritas dalam mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia; (3) penggunaan metode/teknik dalam pembelajaran sastra khususnya dalam mengapresiasi puisi yang cenderung sama begitu saja dan membosankan.
Teknik penerjemahan simbol ke dalam ornamen teatrikal ini menggunakan proses latihan umum pada sebuah proses garapan teater. Untuk pemahaman dan penafsirannya, menggunakan teknik parafrasa dan diskusi terbuka pada sebuah forum diskusi. Pada penelitian ini, simbol bahasa yang ada pada puisi akan ditafsirkan ke dalam sebuah bentuk ornamen teatrikal oleh apresiator melalui beberapa tahap yang telah ditentukan.
Penelitian ini bertujuan sebagai berikut; (1) mengetahui kemampuan membaca puisi apresiator sebelum diberikan perlakuan teknik penerjemahan simbol ke dalam ornamen teatrikal; (2) melihat bagaimana kemampuan membaca puisi apresiator setelah diberikan perlakuan teknik penerjemahan simbol ke dalam ornamen teatrikal; (3) melihat bagaimana pengaruh teknik penerjemahan simbol ke dalam ornamen teatrikal memengaruhi kemampuan membaca puisi apresiator dan apakah teknik tersebut efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran membaca puisi.
Jumlah sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 11 orang yang diambil secara purposive sampling. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan desain onegroup pretest-posttest. Mengacu pada hasil uji hipotesis, diperoleh hasil thitung (3,107) ≥ ttabel (1,822). Menunjukan bahwa Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Teknik penerjemahan simbol ke dalam ornamen teatrikal terbukti efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran apresiasi atau membaca puisi.

Through this research, researchist mean to know the efectivity of the symbol transliteration to the theatrical ornament technique in poetry reading training. This research based from these following problems; (1) appreciators has lack of interests ini figuring out and appreciate literature (poetry); (2) teachers of Indonesian language study has a lack of competency in literature fields and literature material allocations was becoming a minority in Indonesian Language and Literature study fields; (3) usage(s) of methods and technique in literature studies, especially in appreciating poetry tend to be as same as always and boring.
This technique use the common exercise of an theatre act or theatre process. For the comperhension and interpretation is using paraphrase and an open discussion on a discussion form. On this research, the language symbols in the poetry will be transformed to a form of an theatrical ornament by the appreciators which through some determined ways.
Purpose of this research is; (1) to get know the ability of the appreciators to read poetry before treated by transliterating Symbols to theatrical ornaments technique; (2) to see how the ability of the appreciators to reading poetry after treated by transliterating symbols to theatrical ornaments technique; (3) to see how this technique affecting the ability of appreciators to read poetry and is this technique effective to be used in poetry reading studies.
Sampel’s numbers of this research is 11 appreciators which is choosen by purposive sampling. This research use experiment method with onegroup pretest-posttest design. Refering to the hypothesis test result, get the result of thitung (3,107) ≥ ttabel (1,822). Which is mean that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Effectivity of transliterating symbols to theatrical ornaments technique is proven right to be applied on appreciation or reading poetry studies, at school or outside school.
