Abstract
PenelitianinidilatarbelakangiolehkondisidaerahKaliorang yang mengalamiperubahansetelahmasuknyaperkebunankelapasawit.Kehadiranperusahaanperkebunankelapasawitmembawadampakbagipeningkatankesejahteraanpendudukdanperkembanganekonomi.Disampingmeningkatnyakesejahteraantentusajaakanberakibatpadaterjadinyaberbagaiperubahansosialbudaya yang menyangkutberbagaiaspekkehidupandalammasyarakat.Penelitianinidilaksanakan diDesa Bukit MakmurKecamatanKaliorangKabupatenKutaiTimur.Kajianutamapenelitianiniadalahidentifikasipergeserannilaidannormasosialdalamkehidupanmasyarakatperkebunankelapasawitsebagaisumberbelajar IPS di Desa Bukit MakmurKecamatanKaliorangKabupatenKutai-Timur. Sebagaialatanalisispermasalahanpenelitian yang dikaji, penelitimenggunakan teoriperubahansosialOgburn, (1922), mengenaiperubahansosial yang dipengaruhiolehkondisiteknologi.Penelitimenggunakandesainpenelitiankualitatifdenganmetodekualitatfverifikatif.Teknikpengumpulan data yang digunakanyaituwawancara, observasi, danstudidokumentasi.HasilpenelitianmenunjukkanbahwasebelummasuknyaperkebunankelapasawitmasyarakatDesa Bukit MakmurKecamatanKaliorangmemilikikarakteristik yang sangatkuatdalamhalgotongroyong, sopansantun, cintadamai, kekeluargaan, toleransi, dansederhana.Setelahmasuknyaperkebunankelapasawitterjadipergeserannilaidannormadalammasyarakatyaituindividualistik, penyimpangansosial, rentankonflik, apatis, konsumtif. Pengaruhpergeserannilaiterhadapintegrasisosialmasyarakattidakterlalutampak, permasalahandisintegrasidapatdiatasidenganbaik.Relefansinilai-nilai yang dapatdigunakansebagaisumberbelajar IPS meliputinilai, perubahansosialbudaya, pergeserannilaidannorma, lingkunganalamperkebunan, peningkatanproduksi, kesejahteraanpetani, pertumbuhanekonomi, konfliksosial. Kata Kunci:Pergeseran Nilai,Norma dan,Sumber Belajar IPS Thebackground to the research is the changes experienced by Kaliorang district due to the opening of palm oil plantation. The establishment of palm oil plantation companies has impacted on increased communities’ welfare and economic development. Nevertheless, the increased welfare is accompanied by socio-cultural transformations in various aspects of the community life. Thus, in the communities of Bukit Makmur Village, Kaliorang District, KutaiTimur Regency, with the ultimate aim of identifying the shifts in social norms and values in the community life within palm oil plantations as social studies learning resources in the communities of Bukit Makmur Village, Kaliorang District, KutaiTimur Regency. The research employed Ogburn’s social change theory (1992), which concerns about social changes affected by technology, as the tool of analysis. It adopted qualitative design with verificative method. Data were collected through interview, observation, and documentary analysis. The findings indicate that before the establishment of palm oil plantations, the communities of Bukit Makmur Village, Kaliorang District, were strongly characterized with their mutual aid, courtesy, love for peace, a sense of kinship, tolerance, and humility. However, after the establishment of palm oil plantations, a shift in the social norms and values occurs, where the communities become individualistic, socially deviant, prone to conflict, apathetic, and consumptive. Fortunately, the influence of these value shifts on social integration is not conspicuous, and disintegration can be prevented. The values relevant to be made social studies learning resources include social values, socio-cultural changes, value and norm shifts, plantation natural environment, increased productivity, farmer welfare, economic growth, and social conflicts.
