Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh gambaran kemampuan berpikir kompleks dan sikap kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan pada tema pemanasan global melalui penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan mind mapping. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII di salah satu SMP Negeri di Kota Sukabumi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data dijaring mengunakan soal kemampuan berpikir kompleks, angket sikap kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan, penugasan mind mapping, lembar observasi, wawancara guru dan siswa, angket tanggapan siswa, dan rekaman video selama pembelajaran. Kemampuan berpikir kompleks yang diukur dalam penelitian ini meliputi kemampuan pemecahan masalah, kemampuan pengambilan keputusan, kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kemampuan berpikir kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pada nilai kemampuan berpikir kompleks sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan pembelajaran dengan nilai gain yang dinormalisasi sebesar 0,51 yang termasuk pada kategori sedang. persentase rata-rata skor pada indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan mengalami peningkatan yang paling baik dibandingkan dengan indikator lainnya. Sikap positif kepedulian yang dimiliki siswa terhadap lingkungan mengalami peningkatan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan mind mapping dari sebesar 83,08% menjadi sebesar 86,71% da rata-rata persentase sikap negatif siswa terhadap lingkungan mengalami penurunan setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan mind mapping dari sebesar 44,21% menjadi sebesar 40,04%. Aktivitas guru dan siswa dilaksanakan sesuai tahapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah berbantuan mind mapping. Selama pembelajaran siswa merasa senang dan termotivasi untuk belajar, aktif dalam pembelajaran, meningkatkan rasa ingin tahu dan kemandirian terutama dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kompleks dan sikap kepedulian siswa terhadap lingkungan. Kata Kunci : Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah Berbantuan Mind Mapping, Kemampuan Berpikir Kompleks, Sikap Kepedulian Siswa terhadap Lingkungan, Pemanasan Global The aim of this study was to describe complex thinking skills and environmental attitudes of student on topic of global warming through the implementation of problem based learning using mind mapping. The subjects were students of class VII in one of the Junior High School in Sukabumi. This study used descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data were collected used written test of complex thinking skills, environmental attitude questionnaire, the assignment of mind mapping, observation sheets, interview teachers and students, students' questionnaire responses, and video recording. Complex thinking skills measured in this study included the problem solving skills, decision making skills, critical thinking skills and creative thinking skills. The results showed that there was an increase in the value of the complex thinking skills before and after the learning is applied with the value of the normalized gain of 0.51 is included in the medium category. The indicators increased better after the implementation of problem-based learning using mind mapping is the indicator of the problem solving skills and decision making skills. The average percentage positive attitudes of the students towards the environment increased after the implementation of problem-based learning using mind mapping by 83.08% to 86.71%. The average percentage of negative attitudes of students towards the environment has decreased after the implementation of problem-based learning model using mind mapping by 44.21% to 40.04%. The activities of teachers and students implemented of the learning process carried out in accordance assisted problem based learning using mind mapping. During in learning the students feel happy and motivated to learn, be active in learning, drive the curiosity and independence especially can drive the complex thinking skills and caring attitude of the students towards the environment.
