Abstract
Penelitian ini dilakukan atas dasar permasalahan yang terjadi di lapangan bahwa 3 dari 10 anak kelompok B PAUD BR terindikasi berperilaku agresif. Perilaku agresif yang muncul yakni agresif fisik aktif langsung, agresif fisik pasif langsung serta agresif verbal aktif langsung. Faktor yang mempengaruhinya diantaranya perilaku guru yang kurang ramah terhadap anak, lingkungan, serta pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini mencoba mengurangi perilaku agresif yang muncul pada anak kelompok B PAUD BR melalui metode pembelajaran yang menyenangkan sekaligus memberikan nasihat yang bermakna bagi perilaku anak, melalui penerapan metode bercerita dengan media wayang. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu penelitian tindakan kelas. Adapun teknik dan alat pengumpul data berupa observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Sedangkan analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah analisis data kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan grounded theory. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari dua tindakan. Pelaksanaan penelitian dimulai dari 27 April 2015 hingga 1 Juni 2015 . Hasil temuan penelitian menunjukan adanya perubahan perilaku kearah yang lebih positif hal tersebut terlihat dari a) anak mau meminta maaf jika berbuat salah pada temannya dan mau mendengarkan nasihat dari guru, serta enggan disamakan dengan perilaku agresif pada tokoh cerita, b) anak mulai tidak membalas perilaku temannya yang berisap tidak baik, bahkan anak menasehati temannya yang berperilaku tidak baik, c) intensitas anak melakukan tindakan fisik yang membahayakan teman mulai berkurang d) anak mulai menunjukan perilaku yang baik seperti mau mengalah dan membantu guru, e) anak memahami perilaku baik akan mendapat balasan baik sedang perbuatan buruk mendapatkan balasan yang buruk. Tetapi tidak dapat dipungkiri bahwa penelitian ini tidak dapat menghilangkan perilaku agresif anak sepenuhnya, masih ada beberapa perilaku agresif yang muncul pada anak tetapi masih dapat dotolelir. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa metode bercerita menggunakan media wayang dapat membantu mengurangi perilaku agresif pada anak. Rekomendasi bagi peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengeksplor lebih jauh berbagai strategi atau metode pembelajaran yang mampu mengurangi perilaku agresif anak. Kata Kunci : perilaku agresif, metode bercerita, media wayang, anak usia dini The research was prompted by the problems found in the field, where 3 out of 10 children in Group B of PAUD BR displayed aggressive behaviors. The aggressive behaviors constitute direct-active physical aggression, direct-passive physical aggression, and direct-active verbal aggression Factors influencing the behaviors are, among others, teachers who appear to be less friendly to the children, the environment, and monotonous teaching and learning. Therefore, the present research intends to reduce the aggressive behaviors of Group B PAUD BR children through a fun teaching and learning method as well as meaningful advice by implementing storytelling with the medium of wayang. The method adopted in this research was classroom action research. Meanwhile, the techniques and means of data collection comprised observation, interview, and documentation. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively using grounded theory approach. The research was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of two actions. It was carried out from April 27 to June 1, 2015. The results show there are positive changes in the children’s behaviors, as can be observed from: a) the children’s willingness to apologize to their peers for their mistakes, to listen to teachers’ advice, and their unwillingness to be compared to the character in the story who displays aggressive behaviors; b) their growing tendency not to avenge other children who do not behave well; instead, they advise their peers to behave well; c) the children’s lowering intensity in performing physical actions that can endanger their peers; d) their emerging good behaviors, such as being willing to back down from a quarrel with friends and to help teachers; and e) their understanding of how good behaviors will be reciprocated with goodness, while bad behaviors will be reciprocated with badness. Nonetheless, it cannot be denied that the research did not totally eliminate children’s aggressive behaviors, for the children still display aggressive behaviors that are fortunately still tolerable. Based on the outcomes, it is concluded that storytelling method using the medium of wayang can help reduce children’s aggressive behaviors. It is thus recommended that future researchers can further explore the various strategies or teaching and learning methods able to reduce children’s aggressive behaviors.
