Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya aktivitas belajar peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan guru menggunakan metode ceramah, pemberian tugas dan tanya jawab serta penggunaan media yang terbatas. Peserta didik tidak berani bertanya maupun mengemukakan pendapat. Selain itu peserta didik tidak mau bekerja sama ketika diarahkan untuk belajar kelompok. Dalam penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik pada pembelajaran IPA materi kenampakan permukaan bumi dan sumber daya alam peneliti menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe thik pair and share. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penggunaan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe thik pair and share untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik di SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas model Kemis dan Taggart. Alat pengungkap data pada peneltian ini adalah lembar observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe thik pair and share pada pembelajaran IPA materi kenampakan permukaan bumi dan sumber daya alam dapat meningkatkan aktivitas belajar peserta didik. Aktivitas peserta didik meningkat pada indikator: mengamati, mengerjakan tugas, bekerjasama, menyimak, aktif bertanya atau mengemukakan pendapat, berani berbicara dan menjawab pertanyaan. Sehubungan dengan temuan penelitian tersebut, disarankan agar para guru SD melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran cooperative learning tipe thik pair and share. Penelitian selanjutnya diharapkan memperluas penelitian PTK pada kelas lain, dan mata pelajaran yang lainnya. This study was motivated by the lack of activity of learners in the learning process. This is due to the teacher using the lecture method, the granting of duty and frequently asked questions as well as the use of media is limited. Learners do not dare to ask and express opinions. In addition learners uncooperative when directed to study groups. In this study to enhance the learning activities of students in science learning materials of the earth's surface appearance and natural resources researchers use cooperative learning teaching model type thik pair and share. This study aimed to describe the use of cooperative learning teaching model type thik pair and share to improve the learning activities of students in elementary school. The method used in this research is a classroom action research models Chemish and Taggart. Revealer tool data on this research is the observation sheet and test. Research shows that the use of cooperative learning teaching model type thik pair and share the science learning materials of the earth's surface appearance and natural resources can enhance the activity of learners. Learners increased activity on the indicator: observing, tasks, cooperation, listening, actively ask or express opinions, daring to speak and answer questions. In connection with the research findings, it is suggested that elementary school teachers implementing the learning using the teaching model of cooperative learning type thik pair and share. Future studies are expected to expand the research PTK in other classes, and other subjects.
