Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang pengaruh model pembelajaran peer tutoring berbasis laboratorium terhadap hasil belajar elektronika dasar siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di salah satu SMK Negeri di Kota Cimahi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-posttest design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah lembar observasi keterlaksanaan model, tes kognitif berbentuk tes tertulis jenis essay materi dioda dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran peer tutoring berbasis laboratorium berpengaruh positif dengan baik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif. Hal itu dapat dilihat dari hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung = 2,658 dan ttabel = 1,677. Karena thitung (2,658) > ttabel (1,677), maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Selain itu, nilai n-gain kelas eksperimen lebih besar sebesar 0,35 dari kelas kontrol, maka penerapan model pembelajaran peer tutoring berbasis laboratorium untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif di SMK dapat dikatakan berpengaruh positif dengan baik pada kelas eksperimen. Hasil lain adalah respon siswa dan tutor sangat baik terhadap penggunaan model pembelajaran peer tutoring berbasis laboratorium untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif di SMK berdasarkan hasil angket respon siswa. Sebesar 71,97% siswa tertarik dengan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran peer turoring berbasis laboratorium, sebesar 76,52% siswa menyatakan bahwa model pembelajaran peer turoring berbasis laboratorium dapat memudahkan siswa dalam menguasai materi pelajaran, sebanyak 83,33% siswa termotivasi untuk belajar dengan baik dan sebanyak 76,52% siswa merasa senang dan merasa terbantu dalam belajar karena ada teman yang dalam hal ini adalah tutor yang membantunya selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. This study aimed to get an overview of the influence of peer tutoring based on laboratory learning model for students’ learning outcomes basic electronics. This study was conducted in one of Vocational School in Cimahi. The Method used is a quasi-experimental method (quasi experiment) with a research design one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used in data collection is observation sheet adherence to the model, in the form of written test of cognitive test essay using diode materials and student questionnaire responses. The results showed that the application of peer tutoring based on laboratory learning model has positive effect in improving students’ learning outcomes of cognitive domains. It can be seen from the results of hypothesis testing obtained tcount = 2.658 and ttable = 1.677. Because tcount (2,658)> ttable (1.677), so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. In addition, the n-gain value of experimental class is greater 0.35 than the control class, so that the application of peer tutoring based on laboratory learning model to improve students’ learning outcomes of cognitive domain in Vocational School has positive effect toward the experimental class. Another result is the response of the students and the tutors are very good in using the peer tutoring based on laboratory learning model to improve students’ learning outcomes of cognitive domain in Vocational School based on the students’ questionnaire responses. Amount of 71.97% students are interested in learning to use peer tutoring based on laboratory learning model, 76.52% of students stated that peer tutoring based on laboratory learning model can help students to master the subject matter, as much as 83.33% of the students are motivated to learn well and as much as 76 , 52% of students feel happy and find it helpful to learn because there is a friend who in this case is a tutor who helped them during the learning process.
