Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan penerapan teknik peta konsep berorientasi berpikir kritis dengan siswa siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran dengan penerapan teknik terlangsung (ceramah). Jenis penelitian ini merupakan kuasieksperimen dengan desain penelitian The randomized Pre-test-postest Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAK 2 BPK Penabur Bandung dengan mengambil dua kelas sebagai sampel secara teknik purposive sampling dari tujuh kelas yang tersedia. Kelas eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran dengan menerapkan teknik peta konsep berorientasi beripikir kritis dan kelas kontrol dengan menerapkan teknik terlangsung (ceramah). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest dan postest untuk kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi, lembar observasi pembelajaran guru dan siswa, dan angket sikap kepuasan siswa. Untuk melihat ada perbedaan dan peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi antara siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji-t dan uji –t’ dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 setelah uji persyaratan terpenuhi. Hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2010 dan program SPSS versi 16. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa adanya perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan siswa menulis teks eksposisi dengan menerapkan teknik peta konsep berorientasi berpikir kritis dengan pembelajaran yang menerapkan teknik terlangsung (ceramah). Perbedaan peningkatan itu diperoleh setelah melakukan uji-t’ nilai t0 = 2,466 > t0,05 (71) = -1,666, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hipotesis nol yang menyatakan tidak terdapat perbedaan peningkatan antara kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas eksperimen dengan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi siswa kelas kontrol ditolak. Artinya, pada kelas eksperimen memiliki peningkatan kemampuan menulis teks eksposisi yang lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Dengan demikian, ada perbedaan secara signifikan setelah diterapkannya teknik peta konsep berorientasi berpikir kritis pembelajaran dalam menulis teks eksposisi. The purpose of this study is to find out the increase in the writing text exposition ability among students who received the learning with the Technique Application of Critical Thinking Mapping-Oriented Concepts with students who received the learning technique application directly (lecture). This type of research is quasi experiment using the randomized Pre-test-post test Control Group Design as the research design. The population of this research is all the students of class X SMAK 2 BPK Penabur Bandung by taking two classes as the sample using purposive sampling technique of seven classes available. The experimental classes received their learning using the Technique Application of Critical Thinking Mapping-Oriented Concepts and the controlled classes using the application of the Technique directly (lecture). The instrument used in this study was a pretest and posttest for the ability to write exposition text, teacher observation sheets and student learning, student satisfaction and attitudes questionnaire. To see the difference and the improvement of writing exposition text among students in the experimental classes and controlled classes, tests performed using the t-test and t-‘test with significance level of 0.05 after the test requirements are met. Results were analyzed using Microsoft Excel 2010 and SPSS version 16. Based on the survey results revealed that there is a difference in the increase of the students' ability in writing the exposition text by applying the Critical Thinking Mapping-Oriented Concepts with the learning technique application directly (lecture). Differences in the improvement was obtained after performing the t’-test score = t0 = 2,466 > t0,05 (71) = -1,666,it can be concluded that the null hypothesis that there is no difference between the improvement of students' ability to write exposition text in experimental classes with the student's ability to write exposition text in the controlled classes is rejected. That is, the experimental classes had an increased ability to write exposition text is higher than the controlled classes. Thus, there is significant difference after the application of the Critical Thinking Mapping-Oriented Concepts in writing exposition text.
