Abstract
Tesis ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang Implementasi pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn untuk membentuk warga negara yang bertanggung jawab di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang. Masalah pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana Implementasi pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn untuk membentuk warga negara yang bertanggung jawab?. Teori yang digunakan untuk membahas permasalahan tersebut adalah teori Pendidikan Demokrasi. Pertanyaan penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: Pengemasan pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang?. Pembiasaan pendidikan demokrasi dan sikap tanggung jawab siswa di lingkungan SMP Negeri 2 Soreang?. Metode yang digunakan dalam pendidikan demokrasi melalui Pembelajaran PKn untuk mewujudkan sikap tanggung jawab siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang?. Faktor yang menjadi menunjang dan menghambat dalam proses pendidikan demokrasi untuk membentuk sikap tanggung jawab siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang?. Peran dan upaya yang di lakukan pihak sekolah dan komite sekolah dalam pembiasaan pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn untuk membentuk warga negara yang bertanggung jawab?. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan tersebut digunakan data tentang proses pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn, faktor-faktor penunjang dan penghambat pendidikan demokrasi dan sikap tanggung jawab siswa di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang. Data-data ini dikumpulkan dengan teknik pengamatan secara langsung, wawancara secara mendalam kepada siswa-siswi SMP Negeri 2 Soreang, dan didukung oleh analisis data. Hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut :1). Pengemasan pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang diawali dengan adanya program pendidikan demokrasi, baik di kelas maupun di luar kelas. Dengan adanya program pembelajaran pendidikan demokrasi siswa di kelas dapat bersikap kritis, inovatif dan kreatif. 2). Pembiasaan pendidikan demokrasi dan sikap tanggung jawab siswa dapat dilakukan dengan menerapkan sikap disiplin kepada siswa serta melakukan pemilihan OSIS secara langsung sebagai bentuk perwujudan pendidikan demokrasi di sekolah. 3). Metode yang dapat digunakan dalam proses pendidikan demokrasi di kelas diantaranya, ceramah bervariasi dengan menggunakan berbagai macam media pembelajaran. 4). Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penunjang dan penghambat dalam proses pendidikan demokrasi adalah adanya rasa malu bertanya siswa serta guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran, sedangkan faktor penunjang adalah tersedianya sarana dan prasarana di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang. 5). Peran dan upaya yang di lakukan pihak sekolah dalam pendidikan demokrasi yaitu memberikan motivasi untuk selalu bersikap demokrasi dan memiliki rasa kekeluargaan dengan siswa sehingga implementasi pendidikan demokrasi melalui pembelajaran PKn untuk membentuk warga negara yang bertanggung jawab dapat menjadi sebuah kebiasaan di SMP Negeri 2 Soreang. Kata Kunci : Pendidikan Demokrasi, Hak dan Kewajiban, Pembelajaran PKn, sikap tanggung jawab siswa. This thesis presents the results of research on the implementation of democratic education through teaching Civics to form responsible citizens in SMP Negeri 2 Soreang. The central issue in this study is How Implementation of democratic education through learning Civics to form responsible citizens?. The theory is used to address these problems is the theory of Democracy Education. The research questions are as follows: Packaging democracy through learning civics education in SMP 2 Soreang?. Habituation democratic education and responsible attitude in the students of SMP Negeri 2 Soreang?. The method used in democratic education through Learning Civics responsibility to realize the attitude of students in SMP 2 Soreang?. The factors that support and hinder the education process to form a democratic attitude in the student's responsibility SMP Negeri 2 Soreang?. The role and efforts in doing the school and the school committee habituation democratic education through teaching Civics to form responsible citizens?. To answer these questions used data on the educational process of learning democracy through civic education, the factors supporting and inhibiting democratic education and responsible attitude of students in SMP 2 Soreang. These data were collected by direct observation techniques, in-depth interviews to students of SMP Negeri 2 Soreang, and is supported by data analysis. The results of the study are as follows: 1). Packaging democracy through learning civics education in SMP Negeri 2 Soreang beginning with the educational program of democracy, both in the classroom and outside the classroom. With the learning programs of democracy education students in the class can be critical, innovative and creative. 2). Habituation democratic education and responsible attitude of students can be done by applying the discipline to students and conduct direct student council elections as an expression of democratic education in schools. 3). The method can be used in the educational process in the classroom including democracy, lectures varied by using a variety of instructional media. 4). Factors to be supporting and obstacles in the process of democratic education is a sense of shame to ask students and teachers have difficulty in applying the method of learning, while supporting factor is the availability of infrastructure in SMP Negeri 2 Soreang. 5). The role and efforts in doing the school in the education of democracy is to give motivation to always be democratic and have a sense of kinship with the students so that the implementation of democratic education through teaching Civics to form responsible citizens who can become a habit in SMP Negeri 2 Soreang.
