Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan produk teknologi pembelajaran dalam bentuk pengembangan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis multimedia interaktif. Kemampuan yang ingin dicapai dengan penerapan model pembelajaran IPA berbasis multimedia interaktif adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemandirian belajar siswa di SMP kelas VII. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada sejumlah SMP di Kota Bandung menggunakan metode research and development (R&D). Proses dilaksanakan melalui tahapan: Studi pendahuluan, pengembangan dan validasi. Pada tahap studi pendahuluan adalah studi dokumentasi dan survei lapangan, serta instrumen dan alat untuk mengumpulkan data berupa angket, check list, pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi dan tes; tahap pengembangan model dilakukan berupa penyusunan draf awal model, uji-coba terbatas, dan uji-coba diperluas; tahap validasi model berupa eksperimen pre-test treatment post-test dengan menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan profil model pembelajaran experiential learning cycle dari teori belajar Kolb (1994) dengan karakteristik: (1) mengintegrasikan pengalaman awal siswa dengan pengalaman scientific (ilmiah), (2) belajar sambil bekerja (work based laboratory), (3) pendidikan yang bersifat kooperatif (bekerjasama) dalam konteks sosial, dan (4) menjamin penguasaan kompetensi dasar Fisika yang memadai. Model pembelajaran IPA berbasis multimedia interaktif dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan kemandirian belajar siswa SMP lebih baik (tinggi) daripada model pembelajaran konvensional. Beberapa temuan terpenting adalah: (1) model ini dapat meningkatkan kompetensi belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif, (2) melalui perangkat lunak (software) keterampilan siswa dapat meningkatkan kemampuan bekerjasama dalam kelompok belajar, melatih berpikir kreatif dan berkomunkasi, (3) mampu menerapkan berbagai kemampuan dengan terampil mengerjakan LKS. Beberapa prinsip dalam mengembangkan model pembelajaran ini, adalah: (1) multimedia interaktif melalui animasi yang didesain secara menarik mampu meningkatkan pembelajaran, sehingga siswa serius menyimak pelajaran dengan baik dan tidak membosankan; (2) multimedia interaktif ini didisain berdasarkan bagian-bagian dan penggalan-penggalan menjadi unit terkecil, sehingga siswa dengan mudah dapat memahami isi materi yang disampaikan; (3) multimedia interaktif dengan bahasa yang komunikatif dan mengandung ilustrasi-ilustrasi menarik akan efektif untuk disimak, sehingga merangsang siswa untuk belajar mandiri; (4) multimedia interaktif ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar, sehingga siswa dengan mudah dapat mengecek keberhasilan-nya secara mandiri; (5) multimedia interaktif ini setiap bagian/penggalannya ada reinfor-cement (penguatan), sehingga siswa akan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajarnya. Rekomendasi pada berbagai pihak (guru, sekolah, dan pemerintah) bahwa untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran yang efektif dan efisien perlu dukungan pihak sekolah berupa media pembelajaran yang dapat memotivasi siswa dalam belajar. The research was conducted in order to produce learning technology product in from of model development of Natural Science Learning basrd on Intractive multimedia. The expected competency result of the model development implementation is improvement of Learning’s Achievement and self-regulated seventh grade Junior High School students’. The research was conducted in number of Junior High School used research and development (R&D) method. The process of research was consisted of the stages: preliminary study, development, and validation. The stages of preliminary study consisted of documentary study and field survey. In this stage, the instrument used are questionnaires, check list, interview guidelines, observation sheets and test. The development stage was consisted of preparation of the initial draf of the model, limited testing and extended testing. The validation stage was consisted of pre-test treatment post-test experiment by using pretest-posttest control group design. The research employed learning model of “experiential learning cycle” profile from Kolb Learning theory with following characteristics: (1) Integrated the student’s initial experience with scientific experience; (2) work-based laboratory; (3) education that have cooperative side in social context, (4) ensuring mastery the adequate competency of physics basic concepts. Learning model of natural science based on interactive multimedia could improved the learning’s achievement and self-regulated junior high school student better (higher) than conventional learning model. Some of the important finding are: (1) the model could increase student’s learning competency in cognitive domain; (2) though software, student could increase the ability of cooperative skill on a study group, creative thinking skill and communication skill; (3) the student were able to implemented various skill in doing their worksheets. Some of the principles in developing this learning model are: (1) Interactive multimedia designed with attractively animation is able improving learning, so that the student can seriously focus on the lesson and not get bored; (2) Interactive multimedia is design based on sections and parts into the smallest unit, so that the student can easily understand the content delivered; (3) Interactive multimedia with communicative language and interesting illustrations will efective for scrutinize attentively, so that stimulate student to self regulated learning; (4) Interactive multimedia can improve learning achievement, so that the student can easily check their achievement autonomouusly; (5) Interactive multimedia contain reinforcement in each parts or section, so that the student can improve their learning achievement. Recommendations on various stakeholders (teachers, schools, and government) that to achieve the goal of effective and efficient learning needs to support the school in the form of media that can motivate students to learn.
