Abstract
Penelitian yang dilakukan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri se-Kecamatan Majalengka ini didasarkan pada masalah pokok, yaitu rendahnya kinerja staf administrasi tata usaha sekolah di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Majalengka. Hal ini diindikasikan dengan budaya/etos kerja dan komitmen pegawai dalam melaksanakan tugas belum optimal. Permasalahan di atas diduga disebabkan oleh pelaksanaan pengawasan yang belum diimplementasikan secara optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh data secara jelas dan aktual tentang bagaimana gambaran pengaruh pengawasan melekat terhadap kinerja staf administrasi di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Majalengka. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif serta ditunjang dengan studi kepustakaan. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh staf administrasi di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Majalengka, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 61 pegawai. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket, dokumentasi dan wawancara. Dengan menggunakan teknik pengolahan data yaitu : 1) Weighted Means Score (WMS); 2) Uji Normalitas (Chi Kuadrat); dan 3) Analisis Korelasi dengan rumus Pearson Product Moment. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini adalah pengawasan yang dilakukan di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Majalengka berada pada kategori sangat baik. Sementara itu, untuk kinerja staf administrasi di SMP Negeri se-Kecamatan Majalengka berada pada kategori sangat baik. Adapun tingkat hubungan pengawasan melekat berpengaruh sedang terhadap kinerja staf administrasi. Hasil penelitian juga membuktikan bahwa pengawasan melekat tidak hanya satu-satunya variabel yang mempengaruhi kinerja, tetapi terdapat beberapa variabel lain di luar variabel pengawasan melekat yang mempengaruhi kinerja staf administrasi yang memeperlukan penelitian lebih lanjut, antara lain sumber daya, penghargaan, struktur dan job design. Pengawasan melekat hendaknya dilakukan oleh setiap kepala tata usaha secara efektif. Dengan melakukan pengawasan melekat, kepala tata usaha dapat mengetahui secara langsung tingkat kinerja dari masing-masing staf administrasi tata usaha. Sehingga apabila terdapat kekurangan atau kelemahan dari kinerja stafnya, dapat segera dilakukan tindak lanjut untuk memperbaiki kinerja dari staf tersebut. Research conducted in junior high schools throughout the District Majalengka is based on the fundamental issue, namely the low performance of the administrative staff at the junior high school administrators throughout the District Majalengka State. This is indicated by the culture / work ethic and commitment of employees to carry out tasks not optimal. The above problems allegedly caused by the implementation of the monitoring that has not been implemented optimally. The aim of this study is to obtain a clear and actual data about how the image of the influence of the inherent supervision of the performance of administrative staff in SMP se-District of Majalengka. This research was conducted by using descriptive method with quantitative approach and supported with literature study. As for the population in this study are all administrative staff in SMP se-District of Majalengka, with a total sample of 61 employees. Data collection techniques used in the form of a questionnaire, documentation and interviews. By using data processing techniques, namely: 1) Weighted Means Score (WMS); 2) Normality Test (Chi Square); and 3) Correlation Analysis of the formula Pearson Product Moment. The conclusion of this research is conducted surveillance in SMP se-District of Majalengka are in very good category. Meanwhile, for the performance of administrative staff in Secondary Schools throughout the District Majalengka are in very good category. The level of control inherent effect relationship was on the performance of the administrative staff. The results also prove that the monitoring is attached not only the only variables that affect performance, but there are some other variables beyond the control variables that affect performance inherent administrative staff memeperlukan further research, among other resources, awards, structure and job design. Inherent supervision should be done by each head of administration effectively. By monitoring attached, the head of administration can directly determine the performance level of each administrative staff administration. So if there are deficiencies or weaknesses of the performance of its staff, follow-up can be done to improve the performance of the staff.
