Abstract
Penelitian ini merupakan suatu penelitian desain (design research) tentang pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP pada materi segitiga. Masalah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini salah satunya adalah kesulitan belajar siswa yang dialami berkaitan dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis pada materi segitiga. Oleh karena itu, guru perlu mengembangkan bahan ajar sebagai alternatif solusi untuk meminimalisir kesulitan belajar siswa sehingga mempermudah siswa dalam memahami materi ini. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bentuk tugas-tugas yang dapat memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian desain ini terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu preliminary first design, experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Adapun yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Laboratorium Percontohan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa bentuk tugas-tugas yang disajikan dalam bahan ajar melalui pemecahan masalah untuk memfasilitasi siswa dalam menemukan rumus keliling segitiga dan luas daerah segitiga adalah tugas-tugas berbentuk masalah yang memberikan kesempatan pada siswa untuk melakukan berbagai strategi penyelesaian masalah, diantaranya yaitu membuat gambar. Tugas-tugas pada materi segitiga diawali dengan tugas berupa permasalahan yang memberikan pemahaman mendalam terhadap konsep keliling segitiga dan luas daerah segitiga, kemudian siswa diberikan tugas-tugas berupa permasalahan yang mengukur sejauh mana pemahaman siswa terhadap materi sekaligus melatih kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. This research was design research about subject matter development based on Junior High School student’s mathematical problem solving in triangel’s topic. One of the underlying problem is the students learning obstacle associated with mathematical problem solving ability in triangel’s topic. There for, teacher need to develop a subject matter as the alternative solution to minimize student’s learning obstacle, making it easier for student’s to understand this topic. The purpose of this research was to determine the form of tasks that can facilitate the mathematical problem solving ability of students in Junior High School. This research consisted of three phases, that is preliminary first design, experiment, and retrospective analysis. The subject in the research was students in 7th grade from Laboratory Pilot of University Education of Indonesia Junior High School. Based on the the result of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the form of tasks that presented in the subject matter through problem solving to facilitate students in finding triangel’s circum ference formula and triangel’s area formula are takes in the form of problem that can give students a chance to perfom a variety of problem solving strategies, such as by making pictures. The tasks in triangel’s topic starting with a task in the form of problem that give in depth understanding concept of triangel’s circum ference and triangel’s area, then students were given tasks such a problem which measure the extent of students understanding of the students mathematical problem solving.
