Abstract

KesenianParebutSeengadalahkesenian yang berasaldaridaerahCimandeKabupaten Bogor.Awalnya, kesenianparebutseengdilaksanakansaatupacarapernikahan, namunsaatinikesenianparebutseengmerupakanbagiandarisenipertunjukan.Penelitianinibertujuanuntukmengetahuiperanyang dilakukanolehmasyarakatSindangbarangdalammelestarikankesenianparebutseeng.Penelitianinididasarkanataslimapermasalahanyaitu (1) BagaimanapandanganmasyarakatSindangbarangterhadapkesenianparebutseeng. (2) BagaimanastrategiataucaramasyarakatSindangbarangdalammelestarikankesenianparebutseeng. (3) Faktor-faktorapa yang menyebabkanmasyarakatSindangbarangmelestarikankesenianparebutseeng. (4) Bagaimanadampakperubahansosialbudayaterhadapkesenianparebutseeng. (5) Nilaiapasaja yang terkandungdalamkesenianparebutseeng.Untukmenjawabpertanyaantersebutdigunakanpendekatankualitatifdenganmetodeetnografi.Melaluiteknikwawancara, observasidanstudidokumentasi.Hasilpenelitianmengungkapkanbahwa (1) masyarakatSindangbarangmemandangkesenianparebutseengdariempataspekyaitutujuan, gerakan, makna, danalat yang digunakan. (2) strategi yang digunakanadalahdenganmengikuti festival budaya, mengadakanacarabudaya, kunjunganwisata, mengadakanlombaadujatenparebutseengdankaulinanbudaklembur, mengenalkankesenianparebutseengkesekolah, membangunpadepokan, membuateventfotografi, sertamelibatkancivitasakademikadalamacara-acarabudaya. (3) faktor yang menyebabkannyaadalah rasa malu, kebanggaandanjatidiri orang Sunda, ikatandarahadat, agar keberadaanbudayalokaltidaktergeserolehbudaya modern dansebagaiwarisanleluhur. (4) dampakperubahansosialbudayaterhadapkesenianparebutseengyaituadujatenberubahmenjadikesenianparebutseeng, kemudiankesenianparebutseengberubahmenjadisenipertunjukan. Kesenianparebutseengdilaksanakanpadaharipernikahanmenjadidapatdilaksanakanbukanpadaharipernikahansaja.Dahulugerakan yang digunakanadalahgerakanasliCimande, saatinidigunakanvariasipencaksilat (kombinasi).Dahuluhanyamasyarakatpadastratifikasiatassaja yang dapatmenggunakankesenianini, saatinisemualapisanmasyarakatdapatmenggunakan.Dahulutidakmenggunakanalat, saatinimenggunakanseeng.Dahulupihak yang harusdikalahkanadalahjawaradaripihakperempuan, saatinipesilatdaripihaklaki-lakilah yang harusdikalahkan. (5) nilai yang terkandungdalamparebutseengadalahnilaireligius, nilai moral, nilaisejarah, sertanilaikeindahan. “ParebutSeeng” is kind of art that originally come from Cimande, Bogor regency. Initially, this kind of art is implemented during wedding ceremony, but at this time “ParebutSeeng” is part of performing art. This study aims to determine the role of Sindangbarang society in preserving this art. This study was based on five issues, (1) How does the viewpoint of Sindangbarang peoples to “ParebutSeeng” art. (2) How the strategy or the method of Sindangbarang peoples in preserving “ParebutSeeng” art. (3) What factors that causing Sindangbarang peoples to preserve “ParebutSeeng” art. (4) How is the effect of social-cultural toward “ParebutSeeng” art. (5) What are the value that contained in “ParebutSeeng” art. To answer these questions are used a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods .Through interview method, observation and documentation. The results of the study is revealed that (1) Sindangbarang peoples look at “ParebutSeeng” art from four aspect that is the purpose, motion, meaning, tools. (2) The strategy used is to follow cultur festival, organized cultural event, an excursions, doing a contest “AduJatenParebutSeeng” and “KaulinanBudakLembur”, introducing “ParebutSeeng” art to school , building a hermitage , making the photography event, by involving the academic community in the cultural events. (3) The factors that cause it is a shame , a pride and identity of the Sundanese , the bond of blood ties , so that the existence of the local culture is not replaced by the modern culture and as heritage predecessor. ( 4 ) The impact of socio-cultural change toward “ParebutSeeng” art namely “AduJaten” is change into “ParebutSeeng art”, then this art chance into performance art. Arts parebutseeng be held on the wedding day and right now it can be implemented not only on the wedding day. Formerly, the origin movement that used was the original motion of Cimande, but right now using variations of martial arts (combination). Previously, just the peoples at the top of stratification that can use this art , but this time all kind of people can use it. At the beginning, this art doesn’t use any tool, but this time using “Seeng”. Formerly, the side that must be defeated is called “Jawara” from the women side, but at this time the current fighters from the men side who must be defeated. (5) The value that contained in “ParebutSeeng” are religious values , moral values , historical values , and the value of beauty.
