Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “PENGARUH KEPEMIMPINAN TRANSFORMASIONAL TERHADAP MOTIVASI KERJA GURU DI SEKOLAH DASAR SE-KECAMATAN KIARACONDONG BANDUNG”. Fokus permasalahan penelitian ini yaitu untuk memperoleh gambaran secara empirik mengenai kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja guru, dan pengaruh kepemimpian transformasional terhadap motivasi kerja guru di Sekolah Dasar Se-Kecamatan Kiaracondong Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta ditunjang dengan studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode angket tertutup. Adapun yang menjadi populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru pada Sekolah Dasar Se-Kecamatan Kiaracondong baik yang PNS maupun honorer, dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 163 guru yang tersebar pada Sekolah Dasar Se-Kecamatan Kiaracondong. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan dengan menggunakan rumus Weight Means Score (WMS), gambaran umum variabel X (Kepemimpinan Transformasional) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi dengan skor rata-rata 3,29. Sementara gambaran umum variabel Y (Motivasi Kerja Guru) berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, dengan skor rata-rata 3,29. Korelasi variabel X dan Y memiliki hubungan signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,622 yang ada pada kategori kuat dan signifikan, dengan koefisien determinasi sebesar 38,7% yang selebihnya 61,3% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain. Kesimpulan penelitian menyatakan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru di Sekolah Dasar Se-Kecamatan Kiaracondong Bandung. Adapun rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pendekatan informal kepada guru mengenai masalah pribadi dan guru diharapkan lebih terbuka mengenai masalah pribadi tersebut. This research titled is "The Effect of transformational leadership on work motivation of teachers in elementary schools Kiaracondong District of Bandung". The focus of this research problem is to obtain empirical description of transformational leadership, work motivation of teachers, and the influence of transformational leadership on work motivation of teachers in elementary schools Kiaracondong District of Bandung. This study used a descriptive method with qualitative approach and supported by literature study. Data was collected by enclosed questionnaire. As for the population in this study was a elementary school teacher in the District Kiaracondong both civil servants and the honorarium, with a total sample of 163 teachers are distributed across the District Elementary School Kiaracondong. Based on calculations using the formula Weight Means Score ( WMS ), a general description of the variable X ( Transformational Leadership ) are at very high category with an average score of 3.29. While the general picture of the variable Y ( Work Motivation Teacher ) are at very high category, with an average score of 3.29. Correlation of variables X and Y have a significant relationship. It can be seen from the correlation coefficient is 0.622 which is in the category of strong and significant, with a coefficient of determination of 38.7 % that the remaining 61.3 % is influenced by other factors. Conclusion of this research states that transformational leadership and significant positive effect on work motivation of teachers in elementary schools Kiaracondong District of Bandung . The recommendation from this study is expected to increase the principal informal approach to a teacher about personal problems and teachers are expected to be more open about such personal issues.
