Abstract

Penelitian ini berdasarkan pada pengamatan awal di SMPN 9 Bandung di kelas VII-7. Permasalahan yang peneliti jumpai adalah pada aktivitas belajar siswa di kelas yang terlihat pasif, sehingga partisipasi belajarnya rendah. Hal tersebut dapat terlihat ketika peserta didik melakukan tanyajawab dengan guru kemudian ketika guru melontarkan pertanyaan kepada siswa, siswa lebih banyak diam dan tidak menjawab dan terlihat ragu-ragu saat mengungkapkan pendapatnya di dalam kelas. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut, maka peneliti ingin memberikan satu solusi dengan menggunakan metode cooperative learning type make a match. Adapun rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan, serta hasil yang diperoleh dan kendala yang dihadapi dalam penerapan make a match. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengembangkan aktivitas belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMPN 9 Bandung kelas VII-7. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dan mengambil model kemis dan taggart. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan empat siklus dan dilakukan sesuai tahapannya yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pada teknik pengumpulan data, peneliti menyiapkan lembar observasi diantaranya untuk siswa, guru, catatan lapangan, lembar wawancara, daftar siswa serta kamera untuk mendokumentasikan proses penelitian. Indikator yang peneliti ambil terdiri dari aktivitas lisan, mendengar dan aktivitas gerak. Pada hasil penelitian ini menunjukan kenaikan dalam setiap siklusnya, hal ini terlihat dalam siklus I aktivitas lisan, mendengar, gerak menunjukan presentase yang rendah, siklus II terjadi kenaikan karena siswa sudah mulai aktif dalam merangkai kata-kata, fokus mendengarkan yang ditandai dengan kelas yang cukup kondusif serta aktif bergerak mencari pasangan tetapi masih belum optimal, pada siklus III peningkatannya sangat baik dan tujuan peneliti berhasil ini terlihat karena rata-rata siswa dalam setiap aspek aktivitas belajar sudah menunjukan presentase yang baik, kemudian untuk mengetahui perbandingan dilakukan siklus IV, hasil yang diperoleh tidak jauh berbeda dengan siklus III. Kesimpulannya metode cooperative learning type make a match membuat aktivitas belajar siswa berkembang. Kata Kunci : Metode Make a Match, Aktivitas Belajar The research base on observation in SMPN 9 Bandung, class VII-7. The researcher problem is student activity in the class who seen passive, the result participation of study be low. That thing could see when students doing to inquire with the teacher, than when the teacher give question to students, the students always be silent and did not answer, and be wary while express their argument into the class. Base on the problem, therefore the researcher want to give a solution with use method cooperative learning type make a match. As for, formulation of the problem, the research are how to planning, implementing, and the results obtained and the problem which face into implementation make a match. The research have a purpose to developing study activity of students into learning Social Science (IPS) in SMPN 9 Bandung class VII-7. The method used is the class room action research (PTK) and taken model by Kemis and Taggart. This research was conducted with four cycles and conducted in accordance stage, are planning, implementation, observation and reflection. In the data collection techniques, the researcher provide observation sheet among others students, teachers, field notes, interview sheets, list of students as well as a camera to document the process of the research. The researcher take indicator consists of oral activity, listen and motor activity. In the results of this study showed an increase in every cycle, this can be seen in cycle I the listen activity, listen, and motor activity. Showed a low percentage, cycle II there is an increase because the students have started to be active in stringing words, the focus of the class listened marked with conductive and moving active to looking for partner, but not yet optimum, in cycle III the increase is very good and the purpose of the research work it looks as average students in every aspect learning activity showed good percentage, than to find comparisons performed IV cycles, the results are not much different from the III cycles. The conclusion of method cooperative type make a match , makes learning activities of students developing. Keyword: Make a Match Method, Learning Activity
