Abstract
Masalah yang dikaji dalam penelitian ini adalah mengenai belum optimalnya kinerja karyawan di PT. Garuda Mas Semesta (Gamatex) Cimahi. PT. Gamatex Cimahi adalah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri pembuatan kain denim. Belum optimalnya kinerja karyawan ini dibuktikan dalam target pencapaian produksi yang belum tercapai secara optimal. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan salah satunya adalah dengan menerapkan program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja, agar karyawan merasa aman dan nyaman pada saat bekerja. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, pokok masalah yang diungkap dalam penelitian ini adalah adakah pengaruh positif program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Gamatex Cimahi. Metode penelitian menggunakan Explanatory Survey Method. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dengan menggunakan rating scale. Jumlah responden sebanyak 83 orang karyawan bagian produksi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi. Secara umum hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa koefisien korelasi antara variabel X (program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja) terhadap variabel Y (kinerja karyawan) dalam kategori cukup kuat. Koefisien Determinasi (KD) menunjukkan bahwa kinerja karyawan dipengaruhi program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3). Koefisien regresi antara variabel X (program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja) dan variabel Y (kinerja karyawan) nyata adanya. Jika dikonfirmasikan dengan kriteria penolakan hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya pengaruh positif program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) terhadap kinerja karyawan pada bagian produksi di PT. Gamatex Cimahi. Namun demikian kinerja karyawan pada bagian produksi di PT. Gamatex Cimahi tidak hanya dipengaruhi oleh program keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3) saja, ada faktor lain yang mempengaruhi namun tidak diteliti oleh peneliti. The problem examined in this research is about the employees’ performance ini PT. Gamatex Cimahi had not been optimal. PT. Gamatex Cimahi is an industrial company which produce denim fabrics. The problem were proved by examining the production target that had not achieved optimally. Many factors’ influence employees’ performance, one of which is by implementing the safety and health working programme, so that they feel safe and comfortable during working time. Based or date matter, the main problem to be examined were to determine the influence of safety and health working programme to wards the employees’ performance. The current study used explanatory survey methode. The data were collected by using questionnaire with rating scale. The respondents involved were 83 employees in production staff. Then, the analysis of data uses regression analysis. In general, the results of this research show the correlation between variable X (safety and health working programme) and variable Y (employees’ performance) was in medium category. Coefficient of Determination (KD) shows that employees’ performance was influenced between variable X (safety and health working programme) and variable Y (employees’ performance) was accepted by its value. If this result confirms to the criteria of rejection hypothesis so it will show that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. From the results, it can be concluded that there was a positive influence from safety and health working program (K3) towards employees’ performance in production staff on PT. Gamatex Cimahi. Furthermore, employees’ performance was not only influenced by safety and health working program, but also by other factors that were not exsmined.
