    Abstract

    Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Lohbener Kabupaten Indramayu, berdasarkan hasil tes yang dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pengimplementasian metode pembelajaran problem solving terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi, materi ketenagakerjaan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yakni metode eksperimen dengan desain penelitian quasi experimental design. Pengujian dilakukukan dengan menggunakan paired sample t-test dan independent sample t-test dengan SPSS 25. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen antara sebelum dan sesudah diberikan metode pembelajaran problem solving selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dalam hal ini telah menunjukan bahwa metode pembelajaran problem solving memiliki pengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students at SMA Negeri 1 Lohbener, Indramayu Regency, based on test results. This study aims to determine the effect of implementing the problem-solving learning method on students' critical thinking skills in economics, particularly in employment. The research method used was an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design. Testing was conducted using paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests using SPSS 25. The results showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills in the experimental class before and after being exposed to the problem solving learning method during the learning process. This demonstrates that the problem solving learning method has an impact on students' critical thinking skills.
