Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya capaian hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi berdasarkan nilai rata-rata PAS Ganjil kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Kota Cimahi tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh Adversity Quotient terhadap Hasil Belajar Ekonomi dengan Motivasi Belajar sebagai variabel mediator. Metode penelitian yang digunakan survei eksplanatori dengan pendekatan kuantitatif, dan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Populasi penelitian mencakup seluruh peserta didik kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Kota Cimahi, dengan sampel sebanyak 384 peserta didik yang ditentukan melalui teknik random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan ialah analisis regresi linear berganda serta uji mediasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (i) rata-rata hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Ekonomi peserta didik di SMA Negeri se-Kota Cimahi masih berada pada kategori rendah, tingkat Adversity Quotient, dan motivasi belajar berada pada kategori sedang,; (ii) Adversity Quotient berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar; (iii) Motivasi Belajar berperan sebagai partial mediation dalam pengaruh Adversity Quotient terhadap hasil belajar; (iv) kontrol jenis kelamin dan pendidikan terakhir orang tua Ayah berpendidikan SD, SMP, dan SMA, serta pendidikan terakhir Ibu diseluruh jenjang memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar. This research is motivated by the problem of low learning outcomes in Economics, as indicated by the average scores of the Odd Semester Final Assessment (PAS) of grade XI Social Sciences students at public senior high schools (SMA Negeri) in Cimahi City during the 2022/2023 academic year. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Adversity Quotient on Economics learning outcomes with Learning Motivation as a mediating variable. The research employed an explanatory survey method with a quantitative approach, using questionnaires as the data collection instrument. The population consisted of all grade XI Social Sciences students at public senior high schools in Cimahi City, with a sample of 384 students determined through random sampling. The data analysis techniques used were multiple linear regression and mediation testing. The results of the study show that: (i) the average Economics learning outcomes of students in public senior high schools in Cimahi City are still at a low level, while their Adversity Quotient and Learning Motivation are at a moderate level; (ii) Adversity Quotient has a positive effect on learning outcomes; (iii) Learning Motivation serves as a partial mediator in the effect of Adversity Quotient on learning outcomes; and (iv) the control variables of gender, father’s last education (elementary, junior high, and senior high school levels), and mother’s last education across all levels, significantly influence learning outcomes.
