Abstract

Perilaku tidak peduli lingkungan seperti tidak peduli pada konsumsi produk ramah lingkungan, kebiasaan membuang sampah sembarangan, kurangnya pengetahuan siswa tentang lingkungan dan rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam memanfaatkan sampah mencerminkan bahwa kecerdasan ekologis kelas IX A SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi masih kurang, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan cara untuk meningkatan kecerdasan ekologis siswa. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk hal tersebut yaitu melalui pembuatan media flipchart dengan konsep recycle sebagai media pembelajaran IPS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatan kecerdasaan ekologis siswa melalui pembuatan flipchart dengan konsep recycle dengan mendeskripsikan mulai dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil terhadap peningkatan kecerdasan ekologis siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui metode penelitian tindakan kelas model Elliot. Hasil dari penelitian, pertama proses perencanaan dilakukan dengan menentukan Standar Kompetensi (SK)/Kompetensi Dasar (KD), menyusun perangkat pembelajaran (RPP) yang termasuk di dalamnya menerapkan media flipchart dan mempersiapkan instrumen penelitian. Kedua, proses pelaksanaan yaitu melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai dengan perencanaan penelitian. Ketiga, hasil dalam penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya peningkatan pada setiap siklusnya. Siklus 1 mencapai 53,33% masuk dalam kategori “cukup”. Siklus 2 mencapai 78,14% masuk dalam kategori “baik”. Siklus 3 mencapai 81,48% masuk dalam kategori “baik” sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembuatan flipchart dengan konsep recycle dibuat sebagai media pembelajaran IPS melalui perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan hasil yang diperoleh yaitu dapat meningkatkan kecerdasan ekologis siswa. The behavior of not caring about the environment such as not caring about the consumption of environmentally friendly products, the habit of littering, the lack of student knowledge about the environment and the low ability of students to utilize waste reflects that the ecological intelligence of class IX A SMP Negeri 6 Cimahi is still lacking, therefore it is necessary to do a way to increase the ecological intelligence of students. The effort made for this is by making flipchart media with the concept of recycle as a social studies learning media. The purpose of this study was to increase students' ecological intelligence through making flipcharts with the concept of recycle by describing from planning, implementation, and results to increase students' ecological intelligence. This research was conducted through the Elliot model classroom action research method. The results of the study, first the planning process is carried out by determining the Competency Standards (SK)/Basic Competencies (KD), compiling learning devices (RPP) which include applying flipchart media and preparing research instruments. Second, the implementation process is to carry out learning in accordance with research planning. Third, the results in the study showed that there was an increase in each cycle. Cycle 1 reached 53.33% in the “sufficient” category. Cycle 2 reached 78.14% in the “good” category. Cycle 3 reached 81.48% in the “good” category so that it can be concluded that making flipcharts with the concept of recycle is made as a social studies learning media through planning, implementation, and the results obtained can increase students' ecological intelligence.
