Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pelaksanaan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung untuk mengembangkan keterampilan motorik halus siswa sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada permasalahan masih minimnya kajian yang secara spesifik membahas peran kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung dalam pengembangan keterampilan motorik halus siswa sekolah dasar. Sebagian besar penelitian sebelumnya lebih menyoroti aspek musikal, kognitif, atau emosional, sementara potensi seni angklung dalam mendukung motorik halus anak belum banyak dieksplorasi secara mendalam. Selain itu, keterampilan motorik halus memegang peranan penting dalam menunjang perkembangan fisik anak, sehingga diperlukan stimulasi yang tepat untuk mengoptimalkan perkembangan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus dan teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi non-partisipatif, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas sepuluh siswa, yang mencakup lima siswa kelas 1 dan lima siswa kelas 2 di SDN 212 Harapan, yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung dan tergabung dalam tim pemula. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif selama enam pertemuan, wawancara semi terstruktur dengan pelatih angklung, serta analisis dokumen pendukung. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung mampu meningkatkan keterampilan motorik halus siswa, khususnya dalam aspek koordinasi tangan dan mata, kekuatan jari, serta ketepatan gerak. Aktivitas seperti memegang angklung, menggoyangkannya sesuai irama, dan merespons instruksi pelatih turut melatih koordinasi multisensori antara indera penglihatan (visual), pendengaran (audio), dan gerak tubuh (kinestetik). Hal ini memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap perkembangan keterampilan motorik halus. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan ekstrakurikuler angklung dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif strategis dalam mendukung pengembangan keterampilan motorik halus siswa di jenjang sekolah dasar. This study aims to analyze the implementation of angklung extracurricular activities to develop fine motor skills of elementary school students. The background of this study is based on the problem of the lack of studies that specifically discuss the role of angklung extracurricular activities in developing fine motor skills of elementary school students. Most previous studies have focused more on musical, cognitive, or emotional aspects, while the potential of angklung art in supporting children's fine motor skills has not been explored in depth. In addition, fine motor skills play an important role in supporting children's physical development, so appropriate stimulation is needed to optimize this development. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method and data collection techniques with participatory observation, semistructured interviews, and documentation. The research sample consisted of ten students, including five grade 1 students and five grade 2 students at SDN 212 Harapan, who participated in angklung extracurricular activities and were members of the beginner team. Data were obtained through participatory observation during six meetings, semi-structured interviews with angklung coaches, and analysis of supporting documents. The results of the study showed that extracurricular angklung activities were able to improve students' fine motor skills, especially in terms of hand-eye coordination, finger strength, and movement accuracy. Activities such as holding the angklung, shaking it to the rhythm, and responding to the trainer's instructions also train multisensory coordination between the senses of sight (visual), hearing (audio), and body movement (kinesthetic). This provides a positive contribution to the development of fine motor skills. So it can be concluded that extracurricular angklung activities can be used as a strategic alternative in supporting the development of fine motor skills in elementary school students.
