Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran video berbasis aplikasi TikTok pada materi cacat kristal dan mengetahui respon pengguna terhadap media tersebut. Penelitian menggunakan metode Design-Based Research (DBR) dengan tahapan identifikasi masalah, pengembangan prototipe, uji coba, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 50 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Mesin Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2024 yang telah menempuh mata kuliah Material Teknik. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket validasi untuk ahli media dan ahli materi serta angket respon pengguna dengan skala Likert. Hasil validasi ahli media menunjukkan persentase kelayakan sebesar 90% (kategori sangat layak), sedangkan hasil validasi ahli materi sebesar 82,3% (kategori sangat layak). Uji respon pengguna memperoleh persentase sebesar 85% dengan kategori sangat positif. Media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan dinilai efektif, menarik, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran, sehingga dapat menjadi alternatif inovatif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi cacat kristal. This study aims to produce a TikTok-based video learning media on crystal defects and to determine user responses to the media. The study used the Design-Based Research (DBR) method with the stages of problem identification, prototype development, testing, and reflection. The research subjects were 50 students of the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, class of 2024 who had taken the Engineering Materials course. The research instrument was a validation questionnaire for media experts and material experts as well as a user response questionnaire with a Likert scale. The media expert validation results showed a feasibility percentage of 90% (very feasible category), while the material expert validation results were 82.3% (very feasible category). The user response test obtained a percentage of 85% with a very positive category. The developed learning media was considered effective, interesting, and appropriate to learning needs, so it can be an innovative alternative in improving students' understanding of crystal defects
