Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pengetahuan kewarganegaraan terhadap sikap demokratis siswa SMA di Kabupaten Kuningan. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena lemahnya sikap demokratis masyarakat Indonesia, yang ditandai oleh maraknya praktik kampanye hitam dan politik identitas, penyebaran informasi palsu (hoaks), politik uang, serta intoleransi dan diskriminasi dalam penyelenggaran pemilu. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei cross-sectional. Populasi penelitian mencakup siswa SMA di Kabupaten Kuningan, dengan sampel yang diperoleh melalui perhitungan menggunakan rumus Slovin, dan didistribusikan dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data penelitian berupa angket skala sikap dan tes pilihan ganda. Hasil analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara pengetahuan kewarganegaraan terhadap sikap demokratis siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan nilai signifikansi koefisien regresi dari variabel pengetahuan kewarganegaraan sebesar 0,001 yang lebih kecil dari ambang batas signifikansi yaitu 0,05, serta nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,537 yang menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan kewarganegaraan memberikan kontribusi yang moderat terhadap pembentukan sikap demokratis siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat pengetahuan kewarganegaraan siswa, maka semakin baik pula sikap demokratis yang mereka miliki. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya penguatan aspek pengetahuan kewarganegaraan dalam kurikulum pendidikan Pacasila, serta penerapan model pembelajaran yang kontekstual dalam upaya menanamkan nilai-nilai demokrasi dan pembentukan sikap demokratis. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of civic knowledge on the democratic attitudes of high school students in Kuningan Regency. This study is motivated by the phenomenon of weak democratic attitudes of Indonesian society, which is characterized by the rampant practice of black campaigns and identity politics, the spread of false information (hoaxes), money politics, as well as intolerance and discrimination in the implementation of elections. The study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey method. The study population included high school students in Kuningan Regency, with samples obtained through calculations using the Slovin formula, and distributed using a proportional random sampling technique. The instruments used to collect research data were an attitude scale and a multiple-choice test. The results of data analysis using simple linear regression showed that there was a positive and significant influence between civic knowledge and students' democratic attitudes. This is evidenced by the significance value of the regression coefficient of the civic knowledge variable of 0.001, which is smaller than the significance threshold of 0.05, and the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.537, which indicates that civic knowledge makes a moderate contribution to the formation of students' democratic attitudes. The conclusion of this study states that the higher the level of civic knowledge of students, the better their democratic attitudes. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening civic knowledge within the Pancasila education (civic education subjects) curriculum, as well as the application of contextual learning models to instill democratic values and foster democratic attitudes.
