Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena motivasi belajar siswa yang berada pada kategori sedang, yang diduga dipengaruhi oleh persepsi mereka terhadap pola asuh orang tua. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi siswa tentang pola asuh orang tua dengan motivasi belajar siswa di SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional deskriptif. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket persepsi pola asuh dan motivasi belajar yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa memiliki motivasi belajar dalam kategori sedang. Dari keempat jenis pola asuh, hanya pola asuh demokratis yang memiliki hubungan positif dan signifikan dengan motivasi belajar, sedangkan pola asuh otoriter, permisif mengabaikan, dan permisif memanjakan memiliki hubungan negatif yang tidak signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan perlunya intervensi yang tepat untuk mengoptimalkan motivasi belajar siswa, salah satunya melalui layanan dasar bimbingan dan konseling berupa bimbingan klasikal dan bimbingan kelompok. Kedua layanan ini bersifat preventif, kuratif, dan pengembangan, yang memungkinkan siswa mendapatkan wawasan, keterampilan belajar, serta dukungan sosial yang dapat memperkuat motivasi belajar secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Pola Asuh Orang Tua, Motivasi Belajar, Bimbingan dan Konseling This study was motivated by the phenomenon of students’ learning motivation being at a moderate level, which is suspected to be influenced by their perceptions of parental parenting styles. The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between students’ perceptions of parental parenting styles and their learning motivation at SMA Kartika XIX-2 Bandung. This research employed a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational design. The research instruments were questionnaires on parenting style perception and learning motivation, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s rho correlation test. The results showed that most students had a moderate level of learning motivation. Among the four types of parenting styles, only the democratic parenting style had a positive and significant relationship with learning motivation, while authoritarian, neglectful permissive, and indulgent permissive parenting styles had negative but non-significant relationships. These findings highlight the urgency of appropriate interventions to optimize students’ learning motivation, particularly through basic guidance and counseling services in the form of classical guidance and group guidance. These services serve preventive, curative, and developmental functions, enabling students to gain knowledge, learning strategies, and social support that can sustainably strengthen their learning motivation.
