Abstract
ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya kemampuan siswa SMP dalam pembelajaran menulis sisindiran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa dalam menulis sisindiran sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode index card match berikut adanya perbedaan signifikan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode index card match. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kuasi eksperimen one group pretest-posttest design kepada siswa kelas IX-A SMPN 29 Bandung. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menghasilkan tiga perkara, diantaranya: kemampuan siswa dalam menulis sisindiran sebelum menggunakan metode index card match tergolong pada kategori cukup, sedangkan kemampuan siswa setelah menggunakan metode index card match tergolong pada kategori bagus, dan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode index card match. Untuk menguji perbedaan signifikan antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode index card match dalam menulis sisindiran dilakukan uji hipotesis, dapat disimpulkan adanya perbedaan signifikan pada kemampuan siswa Kelas IX-A SMPN 29 Bandung tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dalam menulis sisindiran antara sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan metode index card match. Kata kunci: metode index card match, menulis, sisindiran ABSTRACT The background of this research is the lack of student understanding and ability of junior high school students in learning to write sundanese poetry. The purpose of this study is to describe students' ability to write sundanese poetry before and after using the index card match method, including significant differences before and after using the index card match method. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental study method with one group pretest-posttest design for class IX students of SMPN 29 Bandung. Based on the results of the study, three cases were produced, including: students' ability in writing sundanese poetry before using the index card match method was categorized as sufficient, while students' ability after using the index card match method was categorized as poor, and there was a significant difference between the ability before and after using the index card match method. To test the significant difference between before and after using the index card match method in writing sundanese poetry, a hypothesis test was carried out. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the ability of SMPN 29 Bandung an students in the 2024/2025 academic year in writing sundanese poetry between before and after using the index card match method.
