MENINGKATKAN BELAJAR RENANG MELALUI PENDEKATAN BERMAIN PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMPN 1 PURWASARI KABUPATEN KARAWANG

    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatkan kemampuan renang siswa kelas VII SMPN 1 Purwasari Kabupaten Karawang melalui pendekatan bermain. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sampel yang digunakan yaitu 22 orang siswa/siswi kelas VII SMPN 1 Purwasari Kabupaten Karawang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kolam renang Planet Waterboom Purwasari. Proses pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi. Teknik observasi dilakukan dengan mengamati proses pembelajaran guru, partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran, dan keterampilan gerak dasar renang dengan menggunakan lembar observasi, yang dilakukan oleh dua orang kolaborator. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan setiap siklus nya. pada proses kemampuan guru dalam pembelajaran diperoleh nilai mean “71” pada siklus I, dan diperoleh nilai mean sebesar “81” pada siklus II. Hasil partisipasi siswa dalam pembelajaran diperoleh nilai mean sebesar “50%” pada siklus I, dan pada siklus II mengalami kenaikan dengan nilai akhir mean sebesar “81,8”. dan Hasil pembelajaran gerak dasar renang siswa diperoleh nilai mean “45,5%” pada siklus I, dan pada siklus II mengalami kenaikan dengan nilai akhir mean sebesar “77,3”. Penulis menyimpulkan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II mengalami kenaikkan yang sangat signifikan. Pendekatan bermain terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan memotivasi siswa, sehingga para siswa lebih mudah mengikuti pembelajaran renang. This study aims to determine the improvement of swimming ability of class VII students of SMPN 1 Purwasari, Karawang Regency through a play approach. This study uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The sample used was 22 students of class VII SMPN 1 Purwasari, Karawang Regency. This study was conducted at the Planet Waterboom Purwasari swimming pool. The data collection process used observation techniques. The observation technique was carried out by observing the teacher's learning process, student participation in learning, and basic swimming movement skills using observation sheets, which were carried out by two collaborators. The results of the study showed a significant increase in each cycle in the teacher's ability process in learning, a mean value of "71" was obtained in cycle I, and a mean value of "81" was obtained in cycle II. The results of student participation in learning obtained a mean value of "50%" in cycle I, and in cycle II increased with a final mean value of "81.8" and the results of students' basic swimming movement learning obtained a mean value of "45.5%" in cycle I, and in cycle II increased with a final mean value of "77.3". The author concludes that student learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II experienced a very significant increase. The play approach has proven effective in creating a fun learning atmosphere and motivating students, so that students find it easier to follow swimming lessons.
