    Abstract

    Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) di era Society 5.0 mendorong integrasi teknologi dalam dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam proses penulisan karya ilmiah. Salah satu tantangan utama mahasiswa adalah keterbatasan pemahaman dalam menelusuri dan menggunakan literatur ilmiah yang kredibel dan relevan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui pemahaman mahasiswa dalam pemanfaatan platform AI Semantic Scholar dalam pencarian literatur ilmiah yang kredibel dan relevan; (2) mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman mahasiswa setelah menggunakan Semantic Scholar; dan (3) mengetahui respons mahasiswa mengenai penggunaan platform Semantic Scholar penyusunan karya tulis ilmiah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan pre-eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes pilihan ganda untuk mengukur pemahaman serta angket skala Likert untuk menilai persepsi mahasiswa terhadap kemudahan penggunaan, kemanfaatan, dan kepuasan terhadap platform. Data dianalisis melalui uji prasyarat (normalitas dan homogenitas) serta uji hipotesis Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman berada pada kategori “Cukup Efektif”. Selain itu, respon mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan platform ini berada pada kategori “Sangat Baik”.Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemanfaatan Semantic Scholar efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap literatur ilmiah dan didukung oleh penerimaan teknologi yang positif melalui pendekatan eksploratif. Platform ini layak dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran pendukung penulisan ilmiah di pendidikan tinggi. The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the era of Society 5.0 has driven the integration of technology into education, particularly in scientific writing. One of the main challenges faced by students is the lack of understanding in searching for and utilizing credible and relevant scientific literature. This study aims to: (1) identify students’ understanding of using the AI-based platform Semantic Scholar for finding credible and relevant academic literature; (2) determine the improvement in students’ understanding after using the platform; and (3) examine students’ responses to the use of Semantic Scholar in the scientific writing process. The research employed a pre-experimental approach using a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data collection instruments included multiple-choice tests to measure understanding, and a Likert-scale questionnaire to assess students’ perceptions of ease of use, usefulness, and satisfaction. Data analysis involved prerequisite tests (normality and homogeneity) and hypothesis testing using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The findings showed a significant improvement in students’ understanding after using Semantic Scholar falling into the “moderately effective” category. Furthermore, students’ responses toward the platform’s usage were in the “very good” category. In conclusion, the use of Semantic Scholar was effective in enhancing students’ understanding of credible academic literature and supported by positive technological acceptance through exploratory learning. The platform is suitable as a supportive learning tool in higher education scientific writing.
