    Abstract

    Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh tuntutan abad ke-21 dan Revolusi Industri 4.0 yang menekankan pentingnya integrasi teknologi dalam pendidikan serta perlunya penguatan literasi digital di kalangan pelajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan proyek microblog berbasis Instagram dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) terhadap peningkatan keterampilan literasi digital peserta didik kelas VII di SMPN 267 Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test control group. Instrumen penelitian berupa tes keterampilan literasi digital yang disesuaikan dengan indikator kompetensi literasi digital. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil pre-test dan post-test peserta didik pada kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan microblog berbasis Instagram, dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek melalui media sosial yang dekat dengan keseharian peserta didik, seperti Instagram, efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan literasi digital. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pemanfaatan media digital kreatif dan kontekstual sebagai strategi inovatif dalam pembelajaran IPS. The background of the research is rooted in the demands of the 21st century and the Industrial Revolution 4.0, which emphasize the integration of technology in education and the need to strengthen students' digital literacy. This study aims to examine the influence of using Instagram-based microblog projects in Social Studies learning on improving the digital literacy skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 267 Jakarta. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The instruments used were digital literacy skill tests based on established digital literacy indicators. The results indicate a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores of students in the experimental class, which utilized Instagram microblogs, compared to the control class using conventional methods. These findings suggest that project-based learning through social media platforms familiar to students, such as Instagram, is effective in enhancing digital literacy skills. The study recommends the use of creative and contextual digital media as an innovative strategy in Social Studies learning.
