    Abstract

Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi kuesioner PAE (Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale), kuesioner screentime (Questionnaire for Screen Time of Adolescents), dan tes TGMD-2 (Test Gross Motor Development – Second Edition). This correlational quantitative study was conducted at SDN 058 Babakan Ciparay, Bandung City, involving 79 fifth- and sixth-grade students aged 10–11 years, selected through purposive sampling. The instruments used included the Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale (PAE), the Questionnaire for Screen Time of Adolescents, and the Test of Gross Motor Development – Second Edition (TGMD-2). The results showed that students’ PAE levels tended to range from low to moderate, with 41.8% falling into the low category. Conversely, 62% of students had high screen time (>2 hours/day), primarily spent playing video games (82%) and watching videos (80%). The majority of students (77.2%) were in the very poor category for gross motor skills, with none reaching the good category. Pearson correlation analysis revealed a strong and significant positive relationship between PAE and gross motor skills (r = 0.607; p = 0.000), as well as a very strong and significant negative relationship between screen time and gross motor skills (r = -0.851; p = 0.000). In conclusion, higher PAE is positively correlated with gross motor skills, whereas longer screen time is negatively correlated. PAE serves as a protective factor against the negative effects of screen time.
