Abstract
PENERAPAN MODEL STUDENT TEAMS ACHIEVEMENT DIVISIONS DENGAN METODE DEBAT UNTUK MENGUKUR KETERAMPILAN SISWA SMK: ANALISIS RESPON DAN KETERAMPILAN Putri Dzydzykry Siti Labika Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan Fakultas Pendidikan Teknik dan Industri, Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia dzydzykriputri@gmail.com ABSTRAK Lulusan Sekolah Vokasional di Indonesia masih menghadapi tantangan serius terkait rendahnya daya serap oleh industri. Tingginya angka pengangguran di kalangan lulusan Sekolah Vokasional menandakan adanya ketidakharmonisan antara kompetensi lulusan dengan kebutuhan dunia kerja, sehingga menciptakan kesenjangan antara pendidikan dan dunia industri. Perkembangan global menuntut lulusan tidak hanya menguasai keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga keterampilan abad ke-21 seperti berpikir kritis, komunikasi, dan kerjasama tim. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang mampu mengasah keterampilan tersebut di lingkungan Sekolah Vokasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tau bagaimana respon siswa, keterampilan siswa, serta melihat perbedaan keterampilan siswa, melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan metode debat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan desain quasi-eksperimental, hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kelas eksperimen meraih skor tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol pada ketiga aspek keterampilan tersebut. Rata-rata nilai berpikir di kelas eksperimen sebesar 80,47, sedangkan di kelas kontrol 46,72. Pada aspek komunikasi, nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen mencapai 88,80, sementara kelas kontrol 53,79. Keterampilan kerjasama tim di kelas eksperimen memperoleh 88.28, lebih tinggi dari kelas kontrol yang hanya 53,28. Perbedaan skor masing-masing keterampilan tersebut sebesar 33,75, 35,01, dan 35,00. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa model STAD dengan metode debat mampu mengukur keterampilan abad ke-21 bagi siswa Sekolah Vokasional dengan baik. The high unemployment rate among Vocational School graduates indicates that there is a disharmony between the competencies of graduates and the needs of the world of work, thus creating a gap between education and the industrial world. Global developments demand graduates to master not only technical skills, but also 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, communication, and teamwork. Therefore, a learning strategy is needed that is able to hone these skills in the Vocational School environment. This study aims to find out how students respond, student skills, and see the difference in student skills, through the application of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) learning model with the debate method. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, the results showed that the experimental class scored higher than the control class in all three aspects of the skill. The average thinking score in the experimental class was 80.47, while in the control class it was 46.72. In the communication aspect, the average score of the experimental class reached 88.80, while the control class was 53.79. Teamwork skills in the experimental class obtained 88.28, higher than the control class which was only 53.28. The difference in the score of each skill is 33.75, 35.01, and 35.00. These results show that the STAD model with the debate method is able to measure 21st century skills for Vocational School students well. Keywords: Debate Method; STAD; Student Skills
