    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menggosok gigi pada peserta didik dengan hambatan kecerdasan melalui pembelajaran mendalam (deep learning) menggunakan media phantom gigi. Peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan Single Subject Research (SSR) desain A-B-A pada satu peserta didik kelas VIII SMPLB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kondisi baseline A1 keterampilan masih rendah (73%), setelah intervensi keterampilan meningkat sebesar (92%), dan pada baseline A2 keterampilan tetap bertahan dengan peningkatan sebesar (98%) dibanding A1. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan prinsip mindful, meaningful, joyful dalam pembelajaran mendalam dengan bantuan media phantom gigi pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama, yang sebelumnya lebih banyak dikaji pada jenjang sekolah dasar dengan media torso atau audiovisual. Implikasi penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran mendalam dapat dijadikan strategi efektif bagi guru dan orang tua dalam membimbing keterampilan bina diri, khususnya merawat kebersihan gigi pada peserta didik dengan hambatan kecerdasan. This study aims to improve tooth brushing skills in students with intellectual disabilities through in-depth learning using dental phantom media. The researcher used an experimental research type with Single Subject Research (SSR) A-B-A design on one eighth grade student of SMPLB. The results of the study showed that in the baseline condition A1 the skills were still low (73%), after the intervention the skills increased by (92%), and in the baseline A2 the skills remained stable with an increase of (98%) compared to A1. The novelty of this study lies in the application of the mindful, meaningful, joyful principle in in-depth learning with the help of dental phantom media at the junior high school level, which was previously studied more at the elementary school level with torso or audiovisual media. The implications of this study indicate that in-depth learning can be an effective strategy for teachers and parents in guiding self-development skills, especially maintaining dental hygiene in students with intellectual disabilities.
