Abstract

Dalam era globalisasi dan revolusi industri 4.0, penguasaan dan pemahaman kompetensi berpikir kritis menjadi hal esensial yang harus dikuasai oleh para tenaga kerja. Hal tersebut berkesinambungan dalam konteks keguruan di mana guru yang berpikir kritis lebih mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan dan inovasi di dunia pendidikan, terbuka terhadap ide-ide baru, dan bersedia untuk terus belajar dan mengembangkan diri. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa pendidikan sebagai calon pendidik perlu memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis agar mampu menghadapi tantangan dalam dunia pendidikan yang semakin dinamis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur (PTA), mengetahui kesiapan kerja mahasiswa PTA sebagai guru, serta mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan berpikir kritis terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa PTA sebagai guru. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode asosiatif terhadap 57 mahasiswa PTA angkatan 2021. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan kuesioner berupa lembar angket dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi logistik ordinal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa PTA 2021 tergolong baik, tingkat kesiapan kerja mahasiswa PTA 2021 tergolong baik, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis memiliki pengaruh positif sebesar 8,5% terhadap kesiapan kerja mahasiswa PTA sebagai guru. Hal tersebut mengindikasikan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis tidak secara langsung mempengaruhi kesiapan kerja sebagai guru secara signifikan karena berpikir kritis merupakan aspek yang terlalu umum dan pengaplikasiannya sangat luas. In the era of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution, mastery and understanding of critical thinking competencies have become essential for workers. This is particularly relevant in the context of teaching, where teachers who think critically are better able to adapt to changes and innovations in education, open to new ideas, and willing to continue learning and developing themselves. Therefore, education students as future educators need to have critical thinking skills to be able to face the challenges in the increasingly dynamic world of education. This study aims to determine the level of critical thinking skills among the academic program of Pendidikan Teknik Arsitektur (PTA) students, assess the work readiness of PTA students as teachers, and examine the influence of critical thinking skills on the work readiness of PTA students as teachers. This study was conducted using a quantitative approach with an associative method on 57 students of PTA from the 2021 cohort. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using ordinal logistic regression. The results of the study indicate that the level of critical thinking skills among 2021 PTA students is good, the level of work readiness among 2021 PTA students is good, and critical thinking concepts have a positive but weak influence of 8.5% on the work readiness of PTA students as teachers. This indicates that critical thinking skills do not directly influence work readiness as teachers significantly because critical thinking is an aspect that is too general and its application is very broad.
