Abstract
Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) bertujuan untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten dan siap bekerja secara profesional di bidangnya. Soft skills dan hard skills merupakan salah satu faktor yang dapat memengaruhi tingkat kesiapan kerja siswa. Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh soft skills dan hard skills terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa bidang konstruksi di SMKN 1 Sumedang, dengan latar belakang rendahnya tingkat penyerapan lulusan di dunia kerja. Menggunakan metode korelasional untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel, teknik sampel jenuh sebanyak 101 siswa, penelitian ini mengukur ketiga variabel menggunakan pendekatan Tingkat Capaian Responden (TCR). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penguasaan soft skills (X1) sebesar 72%, hard skills (X2) sebesar 67%, dan kesiapan kerja (Y) sebesar 74%, yang semuanya berada dalam kategori “baik”. Secara rinci, penguasaan soft skills terdiri dari 4 siswa dalam kategori “cukup”, 78 siswa kategori “baik”, dan 19 siswa kategori “sangat baik”. Untuk hard skills, sebanyak 30 siswa berada dalam kategori “cukup”, 62 siswa kategori “baik”, dan 9 siswa kategori “sangat baik”. Sementara itu, kesiapan kerja tercatat 11 siswa dalam kategori “cukup”, 61 siswa kategori “baik”, dan 29 siswa kategori “sangat baik”. Hasil analisis koefisien determinasi menunjukkan bahwa soft skills dan hard skills secara simultan memberikan pengaruh sebesar 46,6% terhadap kesiapan kerja. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara soft skills dan hard skills dengan kesiapan kerja siswa. Vocational High Schools (SMK) aim to produce graduates who are competent and professionally prepared to work in their respective fields. Soft skills and hard skills are among the key factors that can influence students readiness for employment. This quantitative study aims to analyze the influence of soft skills and hard skills on the work readiness of construction students at SMKN 1 Sumedang, with the background issue of the low absorption rate of graduates in the labor market. Employing a correlational method to examine the relationships between variables, this study used a saturated sample of 101 students and measured the three variables using the Respondent Achievement Level (TCR) approach. The results indicate that the level of soft skills mastery (X1) was 72%, hard skills (X2) 67%, and work readiness (Y) 74%, all of which fall into the "good" category. Specifically, soft skills mastery consisted of 4 students in the "fair" category, 78 in "good," and 19 in "very good." For hard skills, 30 students were in the "fair" category, 62 in "good," and 9 in "very good." In terms of work readiness, 11 students were categorized as "fair," 61 as "good," and 29 as "very good". The coefficient of determination analysis showed that soft skills and hard skills together contributed 46.6% to students work readiness. It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between soft skills and hard skills and the work readiness of students.
