    Abstract

    ABSTRAK Perkembangan teknologi digital yang pesat di era modern turut memengaruhi dunia pendidikan, termasuk pendidikan vokasi yang menuntut keterampilan praktis dan kesiapan menghadapi dunia kerja. Integrasi Artificial Intelligence (AI) dalam pembelajaran menjadi bagian dari transformasi pendidikan digital, namun juga menimbulkan tantangan baru, seperti ketimpangan literasi digital dan potensi ketergantungan siswa terhadap teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keterampilan adaptif dan kemandirian siswa Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) dalam pembelajaran berbasis AI. Fokus utama dari studi ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana siswa mampu menyesuaikan diri dan mengelola proses belajar secara mandiri dalam konteks penggunaan teknologi AI. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kuantitatif dengan metode pre-eksperimental (one-shot case study). Instrumen penelitian telah divalidasi oleh panelis ahli sebelum digunakan untuk observasi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi terhadap siswa kelas X SMKN 5 Bandung yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran berbasis AI. Hasil penelitian analisis bibliometrik menunjukkan bahwa tren riset pembelajaran berbasis AI dalam pendidikan meningkat signifikan dalam satu dekade terakhir dengan fokus dominan pada pendidikan tinggi dan aspek teknologi, sementara kajian tentang kesiapan siswa SMK dalam beradaptasi dengan AI dan mengembangkan kemandirian belajar masih terbatas dan perlu dieksplorasi lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian keterampilan adaptif siswa mayoritas berada pada kategori “cukup”. Pola serupa juga ditemukan pada aspek kemandirian belajar. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa meskipun AI dapat mendukung pengembangan keterampilan siswa, namun belum semua siswa memiliki kesiapan yang merata untuk mengoptimalkannya. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif dan pendampingan berkelanjutan agar siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal dalam menghadapi tantangan pembelajaran berbasis AI. Kata Kunci: Artificial Intelligence, Adaptif, Kemandirian, Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan ABSTRACT The rapid development of digital technology in the modern era has significantly influenced the education sector, including vocational education, which emphasizes practical skills and workforce readiness. One major transformation is the integration of AI into learning, which offers various benefits such as personalized instruction and improved efficiency. However, this integration also presents new challenges, including digital literacy gaps and the risk of students becoming overly dependent on technology. This research aims to analyze the adaptive skills and learning independence of Vocational High School students in AI-based learning environments. The study focuses on how well students can adjust and manage their own learning processes when engaging with AI tools. A quantitative descriptive approach was applied using a pre-experimental design (one-shot case study). Instruments were validated by experts and data were gathered through observations of tenth-grade students at SMKN 5 Bandung involved in AI-integrated learning. Results of a supporting bibliometric analysis show a rising trend in AI-based education research, with much of the focus on higher education and technological development, while studies in the vocational context remain limited. Findings indicate that most students exhibit “sufficient” levels of adaptive skill and independence, though there is variation, with some students categorized as “good” and others as “poor.” This suggests that while AI can enhance student learning, varying levels of readiness may limit its effectiveness. Thus, AI implementation must be accompanied by adaptive teaching strategies and continuous guidance to ensure that all students benefit and grow into independent, critical learners in an AI-driven education landscape.
