    Abstract

    Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika, khususnya pada materi bangun ruang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas V SD pada materi bangun ruang kubus dan balok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment design dengan bentuk pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan model problem based learning dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran biasa (discovery learning). Instrumen penelitian meliputi tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif yang disusun berdasarkan indikator kelancaran (fluency), keluwesan (flexibility), keaslian (originality), dan elaborasi (elaboration). Analisis data menggunakan uji t untuk mengetahui perbedaan rata-rata hasil tes kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model problem based learnig berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa. Dapat dilihat dari hasil penelitian yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai pre-test dan post-test di kelas eksperimen. Nilai pre-test pada kelas eksperimen mendapatkan rata-rata nilai sebesar 49,83 dan nilai post-test mendapatkan rata-rata nilai sebesar 88,80 dengan peningkatan sebesar 38,97. Berdasarkan olah data nilai N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,8752 dengan kategori tinggi dan nilai N-Gain kelas kontrol sebesar 0,6663 dengan kategori sedang. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah model problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa pada materi bangun ruang kubus dan balok di kelas V SD.---------The background of this research is based on the low creative thinking ability of students in solving mathematical problems, especially on the material of geometric shapes. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the creative thinking ability of fifth grade elementary school students on the material of geometric shapes of cubes and cuboids. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a pretestposttest control group design. The research subjects consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class that was given treatment using the problem-based learning model and the control class that used ordinary learning (discovery learning). The research instrument included a creative thinking ability test that was compiled based on indicators of fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Data analysis used a t-test to determine the difference in the average test results of the two groups. The results showed that the application of the problem-based learning model had a significant effect on students' creative thinking ability. This can be seen from the results of the study indicated by the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental class. The pre-test score in the experimental class got an average score of 49.83 and the post-test score got an average score of 88.80 with an increase of 38.97. Based on the data processing, the N-Gain score of the experimental class was 0.8752 with a high category and the N-Gain score of the control class was 0.6663 with a medium category. The conclusion of this study is that the problem-based learning model has an effect on students' creative thinking abilities in the material of cube and cuboid space in grade V of elementary school.
