    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui korelasi antara pola asuh orang tua dan hubungan antar saudara pada peserta didik kelas VII SMP Negeri 12 Bandung Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025 serta implikasinya terhadap layanan bimbingan dan konseling. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 293 peserta didik yang ditentukan melalui teknik total sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) dari Buri (1991) dan Adult Sibling Relationship Questionnaire (ASRQ) dari Lanthier, Stocker, dan Furman (1997), yang telah dimodifikasi serta diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data menggunakan korelasi Spearman’s rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola asuh otoritatif merupakan pola dominan yang dirasakan peserta didik, hubungan antar saudara berada pada kategori sedang, serta terdapat korelasi positif dengan koefisien (ρ) 0,244 dan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,01). Temuan ini menjadi dasar merancang layanan bimbingan dan konseling pribadi-sosial untuk memperkuat hubungan positif antar saudara pada remaja. This study examined the correlation between parenting style and sibling relationship among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 12 Bandung in the 2024/2025 academic year, as well as its implications for guidance and counseling services. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational method. The sample consisted of 293 students selected through a total sampling technique. The instruments used were the Parental Authority Questionnaire (PAQ) by Buri (1991) and the Adult Sibling Relationship Questionnaire (ASRQ) by Lanthier, Stocker, and Furman (1997), which were modified and tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed using Spearman’s rho correlation. The results indicated that the authoritative parenting style was the dominant type perceived by students, sibling relationship was categorized as moderate, and there was a positive correlation with a coefficient (ρ) of 0.244 and a significance level of 0.000 (p < 0.01). These findings provide a basis for designing personal-social guidance and counseling services to strengthen positive sibling relationships among adolescents.
