    Abstract

    Penelitian ini berjudul “Tari Galudra Ngapak Karya Neni Suryani di Sanggar Citra Budaya Bogor” bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis tari Galudra Ngapak karya Neni Suryani yang dikembangkan di Sanggar Citra Budaya Bogor. Fokus kajian mencakup empat aspek utama yaitu ide penciptaan, struktur koreografi, tata rias, dan busana. Tari Galudra Ngapak merupakan tari kreasi baru yang menggambarkan karakter burung garuda melalui pendekatan gerak yang berpijak pada tradisi tari Jawa Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analisis serta pendekatan etnokoreologi yang mengintegrasikan analisis tekstual dan kontekstual. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ide penciptaan tari ini berangkat dari peniruan gerak burung garuda sebagai simbol kekuatan dan ketegasan. Koreografi disusun secara dinamis melalui struktur gerak mimikri partial yang menirukan gerakan burung terbang. Tata rias menggunakan teknik rias korektif serta topeng menyerupai kepala burung garuda untuk memperkuat ekspresi karakter. Busana dirancang dengan sayap berwarna merah dan ornamen khas yang menambah nilai estetika dan simbolik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tari Galudra Ngapak merupakan bentuk inovasi tari kreasi baru berbasis tradisi yang tidak hanya menonjolkan aspek artistik tetapi juga merepresentasikan potensi pengembangan seni tari melalui eksplorasi unsur alam, khususnya fauna, sebagai sumber inspirasi artistik dalam dunia tari kreasi baru Jawa Barat. This study, entitled “Galudra Ngapak Dance by Neni Suryani at Sanggar Citra Budaya Bogor,” aims to describe and analyze the Galudra Ngapak dance created by Neni Suryani and developed at Sanggar Citra Budaya Bogor. The study focuses on four main aspects: creative ideas, choreographic structure, makeup, and costumes. The Galudra Ngapak dance is a new creative dance that depicts the character of the garuda bird through a movement approach rooted in West Javanese dance traditions. This study employs a qualitative approach using descriptive analysis methods, as well as an ethnocoreological approach that integrates textual and contextual analysis. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the idea for this dance originated from imitating the movements of the Garuda bird as a symbol of strength and assertiveness. The choreography is dynamically structured through partial mimicry movements that imitate the flight of a bird. Makeup uses corrective techniques and a mask resembling the head of a Garuda bird to enhance the expression of the character. The costumes are designed with red wings and distinctive ornaments that add aesthetic and symbolic value. The conclusion of this study indicates that the Galudra Ngapak dance is a form of innovative new dance creation based on tradition that not only highlights artistic aspects but also represents the potential for the development of dance art through the exploration of natural elements, particularly fauna, as a source of artistic inspiration in the world of new dance creation in West Java.
