Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis terkait kebutuhan ruang kelas berdasarkan proyeksi usia penduduk sekolah dasar (7-12 tahun) di Kecamatan Buahbatu pada tahun 2025-2029. Permasalahan yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini adalah adanya ketidaksesuaian antara jumlah rombongan belajar dengan ketersedian ruang kelas sebagaimana yang telah diatur dalam Standar Pelayanan Minimal Pendidikan (SPMP) dan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan perhitungan proyeksi dengan pendekatan Social Demand Approach. Data yang digunakan dalam perhitungan bersumber dari Dinas Kependudukan dan Pencatatan Sipil Kota Bandung yang meliputi data jumlah penduduk Kecamatan Buahbatu, jumlah penduduk usia 6-7 tahun sebagai usia masuk sekolah dasar, serta jumlah penduduk usia 7-12 tahun sebagai usia sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa jumlah penduduk usia sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Buahbatu cenderung mengalami peningkatan sebesar 1,31% per tahunnya. Proyeksi jumlah penduduk usia sekolah (PUS 7-12 tahun) mengalami peningkatan sebesar 0.73% per tahunnya. Dengan demikian, dengan melihat kenaikan proyeksi penduduk dan proyeksi jumlah usia penduduk usia sekolah (PUS 7-12 Tahun) diperlukannya penambahan ruang kelas yang berdasarkan kepada Standar Pelayanan Minimal Pendidikan (SPMP) dan Standar Nasional Pendidikan (SNP). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan pertimbanhan bagi Dinas Pendidikan Kota Bandung dalam melakukan perencanaan sarana dan prasarana pendidikan untuk terwujudnya pemerataan dan pemenuhan hak pendidikan dasar. This study analyzes the need for classrooms based on the projection of the elementary school population (7-12 years) in Buahbatu District in 2025-2029. The problem underlying this study is the discrepancy between the number of study groups and the availability of classrooms as regulated in the Minimum Education Service Standards (SPMP) and the National Education Standards (SNP). The method used in this study is descriptive quantitative with projection calculations using the Social Demand Approach. The data used in the calculations are sourced from the Population and Civil Registration Office of Bandung City which includes data on the population of Buahbatu District, the number of residents aged 6-7 years as the age of entering elementary school, and the number of residents aged 7-12 years as the age of elementary school. The results of the study show that the number of elementary school-age residents in Buahbatu District tends to increase by 1.31% per year. The projection of the number of school-age residents (PUS 7-12 years) increases by 0.73% per year. Thus, considering the projected increase in population and the projected number of school-age population (PUS 7-12 years), additional classrooms are needed based on the Minimum Education Service Standards (SPMP) and National Education Standards (SNP). This research is expected to be a consideration for the Bandung City Education Office in planning educational facilities and infrastructure to realize equality and fulfillment of basic education rights.
