    Abstract

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar berorientasi Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) yang layak dan efektif dalam meningkatkan ecoliteracy peserta didik fase C sekolah dasar, khususnya pada materi ekosistem. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penanaman kesadaran lingkungan sejak dini serta rendahnya tingkat ecoliteracy peserta didik, yang berdampak pada kurangnya kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Design and Development (D&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi lima tahapan, yaitu: analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa bahan ajar cetak tematik berbasis ESD yang dirancang sesuai dengan karakteristik peserta didik sekolah dasar. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar validasi ahli materi, media, dan pembelajaran, serta tes pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan ecoliteracy. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dari segi isi, desain, bahasa, dan keterpakaian. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar, dan hasilnya menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan ecoliteracy setelah penggunaan bahan ajar. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berorientasi ESD mampu menjadi alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam membangun kesadaran lingkungan dan mendukung tujuan pendidikan berkelanjutan di tingkat sekolah dasar. This study aims to develop a feasible and effective teaching material oriented toward Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) to enhance the ecoliteracy of elementary school students in Phase C, particularly on the topic of ecosystems. The background of this research is the need to foster environmental awareness from an early age, as well as the current low level of ecoliteracy among students, which impacts their concern for the environment. The research employs the Design and Development (D&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The product developed is a printed thematic teaching material designed in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school students and integrated with ESD values. Data were collected through validation sheets filled out by content, media, and instructional experts, as well as pre-test and post-test assessments to measure improvements in ecoliteracy. The validation results showed that the teaching material met the required criteria in terms of content, design, language, and usability. A limited trial was conducted on fifth-grade students, and the results revealed a significant improvement in the knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to ecoliteracy after using the developed material. These findings suggest that ESD-oriented teaching materials can serve as effective educational tools to promote environmental awareness and support the goals of sustainable education at the elementary level.
