    Abstract

    Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah mengubah pola komunikasi dan interaksi sosial, memunculkan perilaku baru seperti phubbing. Penelitian ini bertujuan memberikan gambaran mengenai kecenderungan perilaku phubbing pada peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) serta implikasinya bagi bimbingan dan konseling. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik SMA Negeri se-Kabupaten Jepara Tahun Ajaran 2024/2025, dengan sampel 1423 responden yang ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) dan Generic Scale of Being Phubbed (GSBP) berbentuk kuesioner dengan skala Likert 7 poin. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik sebagai phubber memiliki kecenderungan pada tingkat phubbing ringan menuju sedang, sedangkan sebagai phubbee berada pada tingkat being phubbed sedang. Gambaran tersebut juga dikelompokkan berdasarkan data demografis dan kebiasaan penggunaan smartphone. Implikasi penelitian diarahkan pada penyusunan Rencana Pelaksanaan Layanan (RPL) bimbingan klasikal dan bimbingan kelompok untuk membentuk pola interaksi sosial yang lebih sehat di tengah kemajuan teknologi, sehingga perilaku phubbing dapat diminimalkan. The rapid development of information technology has transformed patterns of communication and social interaction, giving rise to new behaviors such as phubbing. This study aims to provide an overview of phubbing tendencies among senior high school students and their implications for guidance and counseling. The research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. The study population comprised all students from public senior high schools in Jepara Regency for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a sample of 1423 respondents determined using Slovin’s formula. Data were collected using the Generic Scale of Phubbing (GSP) and the Generic Scale of Being Phubbed (GSBP), administered in the form of a 7-point Likert scale questionnaire. The results showed that students, as phubbers, tended to fall within the mild to moderate category of phubbing, while as phubbees, they were in the moderate category of being phubbed. These tendencies were further analyzed based on demographic data and smartphone usage habits. The findings imply the importance of developing lesson plan–based guidance services, including classical guidance and group counseling, to foster healthier patterns of social interaction in the digital era and minimize phubbing behavior.
